I think that question was answered when he put the likes of Judge Jules under the classification of 'techno'.

My thoughts as well.

But as for real techno, anyone know of any sites?

By real techno, I'm referring to the likes of Hawtin, Cox, Clarke, Umek, etc...

www.livesets.com

Juno has some good stuff.

I really like www.decks.de and www.music-head.de as well.

For some more abstract stuff, I'd say www.clone.nl

I would probably start with DI.fm if you just want sets etc. If you are looking for music to buy then look at the online record store thread.

My favourite sites are www.chemical-records.co.uk and www.juno.co.uk
Shipping can bump the price up though.

Check out some of the sites listed above to as there is some good advice there.

Hey guys, don't get too hung up on terminology. People classify music differently in different countries and it can be a nightmare if you are just getting to grips with the dance music industry with regards to terminology.

You can stuble upon some techno at www.dancerecords.com

To me, Real techno is where Mauro Picotto and Andre Walter is at. D.A.V.E. the Drummer and Eric Sneo is also good.

Judge Jules doesnt play techno, and if he does, he deserves to be castrated. If you want some techno to SPIN? buy from http://www.covert.uk.com/ or if your looking for MP3s, Beatport.com has some, aswell as http://www.q-park.se/q-store_new/index.php has stuff from Hertz....
