| I'm trying to put together a mix of music to drop acid to, I need some ideas for music to put on it. So far all of the psychadelic trance that I have is Infected Mushroom and Kai Tracid. What other artists should I look at? Are there any songs that would should be put on this mix? Thanks. |

for your information Kai Tracid is not psychedelic trance.
if you want psy trance check there are loads of producers out there. just check out www.psyshop.com
plenty of stuff there. too tired to mention any names atm |

| Also try browsing samples on audiojelly and beatport. Nice way of discovering artists and getting a good sense of their style. |

| Maybe you people shouldn't get so hung up in the word "psychedelic", and see what the dude is looking for? He obviously wants trance with acid in it, and Kai Tracid falls into that category. I'd recommend you to check out some older stuff, both "psychedelic" and "non-psychedelic" acid trance. Check out artists like Art Of Trance (old stuff), Terra Ferma, Union Jack, Solar Quest, Pleiadians, Eat Static, Bamboo Forest, Koxbox and Hux Flux (could name many more, but too lazy right now). You probably won't like all of this, but perhaps there's something that fits your taste. |

I'll be posting up a full on psy mix in the DJ Promotion forum in the coming days that you might like. A couple of my favorite artists are:
Electro Sun
Protoculture
Delirious
Overlap
Check out some stuff by them and see what you think, in particular if there was one psy album I would recommend, it would be Delrirous - Break Point. It is single handedly the best CD I've ever heard but of course this is just my opinion.
As was already stated, check out www.psyshop.com and also www.saikosounds.com to sample stuff. |
