The Cosmo Kid track was his best work in 2005, in my opinion.

Haak Remix FTW! :D

Why always critisise new remakes... Music evolves you know. These new remakes only sound bad if you listened the original over and over. 2005 has a way other style of building tracks than 2000.

Most of the tracks (and i'm not talking about mike here) of 2000 were build like this:
Short intro-buildup-climax- middle - climax - outro...

Now what the 2004/2005/2006 remakes do is changing this to a longer; better mixable version for the dj with a longer intro and cutting the middle out.
Long intro - long buildup - climax - long outro.

Clear examples of these are:
The Quest - C Sharp 2004
Pulser - Cloudwalking 2005
Midor & Six4Eight - Cloud City 2005

Many people who are new into trance music prefer these remakes over the original versions.

Personally i don't give a about these remakes. Some are better, some are worse... just take them as they are you know...

And about strange world 2006... the original is great, but as perfectly mastered basslines are becoming more important today; the 2006 version has done well combining the original melody with an up-to-date bassline !

So please; dont blame mike for doin this; i think its good... And those people here who think mike has lost his inspiration are all wrong. Mike is doing very decent; all these years long !

MIKE shouldn't release the SW2006. He should just keep it for him and for his sets.

Yeah, music evolves, and that's why it's a much brighter idea making new tracks instead of remaking every single goddamn past hit.

it isn't a case of "some are better, some are worse". it's more like 99% are worse, 1% are better.

wtf means up to date??? wtf is wrong with you ppl.. up to date bassline lol... its just a fuccking trend... thats why trance is no better than pop today. every producer tries to make his sound "up to date" synths havent changed that much.. eqs, compressors and almost every tool is nearly the same as it was back in 2000, i mean the path may have changed but it leads to the same place. the "how it should sound" thing is just a trend as is stucture and everything else.. producers that just follow these trends are just pop factories.

i havent heard the remix and im not a fan of the original / 2000 remake but if he did something like twixt 2004 then its fine. if all he did was update the sound (meaning if he didnt change anything music wise) then he could have kept it for him self.
