Circus destroys Avalon as far as vibe goes. Avalon's sound is better, but Avalon's vibe sucks.... :)

I'd rather go to Together As One over Avalon when looking purely from a vibe/venue standpoint (talen excluded). Just be sure to stay in the main part of the crowd up front away from the puddles.

Don't like Sander K? Do you even like EDM? Seriously!!!

The kinks in TiC for Vegas have been worked out? How can anyone know that. It's the first US TiC since the LA one...and I still don't think it's going to be nearly sold out. I could be wrong. I just think the location (Vegas is not very EDM-centric), the overall price of doing New Years in Vegas, the number of amazing parties in LA keeping people in town, the clientel that tends to go to Vegas on New Years (I have a good friend who does event management at a few of the big hotels in Vegas and he said Vegas is snob-central on New Years...says it's one of the worst places around to experience it and people do not go to Vegas to spend NYE listening to music all night), etc...well, I just think it makes the odds of nearly selling out not so great. Let me be clear, though...I hope it does do very well. I think it doing very well would be a great thing for the EDM scene in the US...as long as the LA events do well, too. I just don't think it's going to do well, ticket sales wise, in the end. Just my two cents.

Dave

PS. The statements said in this post are of my own and not the opinions of any person, group, club, promoter, company, DJs, etc I may or may not be associated with. If you take it as so...then you are a ing moron. Thank you.

Hummm I do not think the people who actully set up the TIC show have been sitiing on their asses the whole time...

Anyways I think every party in La is going to be going off! Everything from Spundae-TAO-Giant-Avalon-TIC to.... is going to be packed. It seems like Everyone and their brother goes out on NYE:crazy:

Your thoughts?!

My thoughts are as follows

:nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

Seriously give Sander a try. That is if you enjoy house music.

Or good music for that matter.

Try the first "Everybody" cd. It will make you a fan.

And so will seeing him live.

;)

He said he liked Matt Darey and "good trance" obviously he's not a house fan...which is weird if Avalon is his fav venue. The only time they DON'T play house is....AHP :nervous:

Is this guy an AHP fan :haha:

I want to make sure we're talking about the same rubbish here, due to the fact that i enjoy such tunes as Russia Goes Clubbing - AVB, Matt Darey - Live in Australia 05-27-05, and so much more GOOD tunes. Thats the type of trance (known as GOOD) i like and have in the car. Please help if me out if we're discussing a different DJ then the one mentioned above.

The confusion is understandable, given that we are on TRANCE addict. But I think that I can clear it up ;)

Bobina, AvB, Matt Darey = trance; Sander K. does not spin trance (neither do most DJs playing at Avalon, as others pointed out, with the rare Ferry Corsten, Blank & Jones, and Matt Darey at AHP exceptions).

So if you like trance, do NOT go to Avalon for NYE :) Instead, if you want a pure trance experience, join me in Vegas :D (or fall back to Spundae if you want to stay in L.A.).

Techno/electro/techy/tribal/prog/funk/house heads, flame away... but it still won't make it trance :p

I'm sorry, but Sander K is one of the original trance DJs.

Back when Armin was still in school he was laying it down like it was nobodys business...
