Yea. I'm not going to lie to my rentals about the things I do.
My dad was giving me a lift one time last year to the bus stop here in C'wood and asked me if I do any drugs at these 'raves' down in Toronto.
I told him that I did. And he wanted to know about which ones I was doing, how often, yada yada yada.
After it all, he went "So, are you sure this is a good thing to be doing? How do you know if you're not getting really dangerous crap in this E you're taking...."
^^ I dunno, my parents def dont like that I do them (and in the last 12 months its became practically a non-issue sine I rarely pop now), but what can they really do besides express their concern for my safety and displeasure at the choice. Not much.
And I'm not one to want to lie to my parents (I wouldn't bring up the subject myself, but since I was directly asked, I wasnt going to fib about it).
Usually, I find honestly the best policy, esp. in a situation where you're doing something that YOU are NOT embarrassed about - so why lie about it?
Thats just my take - and both my parents were hardcore strict too growing up (both are teachers, my dad was a VP).

I think my rents know I smoke the reefa once in a while and they are def curious about wtf I stay awake on all night when I used to drive home from toronto every sunday (back in the day before I knew you TA's, I was up there like every other weekend).....
I know that my parents don't care about weed (I found out this summer that my dad smoked with one of my friends!!:eyes: :eyes: ) my strict ass father!!
turns out he has always done it... LOL... BUt I know they would HATE me doing other e so I simply don't tell em! But I think they know ;) ;) Red Bull is not THAT good LOL :) :) :haha: |

yea, my parents dont approve of it and worry bc i do it. so i wasnt gonna volunteer that info unless i was asked whether ive done them or not.

As for the parents though...Jem I admire the fact that you told your parents...I wouldn't...my mom already worries when we go to Toronto just from the drive, she would have a heart attack if she knew about that! I think my dad has suspicions about the "We drink a lot of Redbull" comments but E wasn't around when he was young so he doesn't really know what to watch for. I think that's the case with a lot of parents...they know something's not right when u're taking 5 minutes to reply to simple questions and all of a sudden you've forgotten that butter goes on toast first...then the toppings, but they can't quite pinpoint it...and thank fully all those articles and shows don't talk about that ;) They know about weed and they're cool about that cuz they used to smoke it too but i think they'd just rather not know about anything else!
Again though...this thread is hilarious!
