Such a hard thing to say.
If it went the other way and they didn't stop him and he did detonate a bomb after running back onto the plane we would be singing a different song right now saying why didn't they stop him.

Taser, pepper spray, or baton you have to be in arms reach to make effective use of it. A gun, you don't have to.
The threat may be escalated so fast that it may come to using the gun is the last resort according to the situation. By the time the marshal says 'hands up', the bomb may already have exploded. *shrug*
If the man didn't say anything about the bomb, well, the marshal seems to be in the wrong. But I'll have to wait until the whole story is told. |

None of the passengers were in the jetway, which was "not in the range of an earshot", even for gunfire.
The man was bipolar, and his wife, who works for an institute of mental illness, KNEW he hadn't taken his medication, and edged him to get on the plane anyways. Forget not, that it was a biploar lady who, while not on her medication, drowned her chidren in the bathtub a year or two ago. People said she was very nice as well, but not taking bipolar medication makes people do abnormal things.
So, if the guy did yell that he had a bomb, and since US air marshalls ARE trained to shoot, they did the right thing. what if he did have a bomb? that's their last checkpoint to stop him. two seconds later and the game is over for everyone in the vicinity.
police officers shoot someone with a gun, and bomb threats are treated with these sort of actions. i bet his wife is on suicide watch, since she lieley has the training to know the drastic potential of bipolar disorder, and neglected for him to take his meds. |

Good that diserved it i only i wish i was there to see that stupid get his brains blown out haha.
For the person who said couldnt he have used pepper spray no its shoot to kill peroid. The fact is he did the write thing. We lived in a ed up world were people do suck ed up things and we must not tolerate it and take action.
Air marshalls are no joke they are highly skilled and trained its not like its some idiot security guard. |

The guy had no bomb, was bipolar, and didn't take his meds. His wife pressed him to get on the plane, knowing he didn't take his meds, and knowing the drastic potential of his state, based on her profession.
