I think the scariest movies are

Amityville Horror &
Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Both based on true stories, I think that's what makes them scarier.

The Ring
The Grudge
The Others

freaky-assed .

Watched The Grudge with her last week which was her attempt to scare me :D Quite a good film which is supposed to be japanese/chinese version of the Ring and has sarah michelle gellar in it for good measure.

We ended up getting a movie called Creep which was quite ed up, lots of blood but didn't really understand it to be honest. :conf:

Anyway nightmare on elm street 1 is on tv on friday so I'm gonna tape it and then make her watch that, some good suggestions here so if that doesn't do the trick I will have lots more to choose from.:nervous:

I honestly thought SAW was crap. It was a good idea but i thought that the lead actor, the fella who ends up sawing his foot off, is the worst actor i have ever seen. I found myself more annoyed watching that film than scared simply because of his absolutely shocking acting. Between that and the fact that his face was a different colour make-up in every scene, i really couldnt take it seriously. :stongue: If any of you are gonna watch it soon, look out for the changing face make on the lead character!

Have any of you seen 'Creep'? This film is completely ed up. I reckon whoever wrote this is quite a distrubed individual. :nervous:

i can easily say the sadist, scariest but still one of the best directed movies i have seen is Dennis Quaid's SAVIOR...

SuspicionVandit
The Ring (american + Japanese)

I don't know how to classify saw. I don't really see it as horror. Maybe as a thriller/suspense? I enjoyed both movies though.

Blair Witch was made to be seen in the theater with an audience surrounding you. Great experience.
