Don't know the area, but why would you park on the street if you lived anywhere in Cronulla at the moment? I would find a friend somewhere a long way away and shelter there.

i agree that it was bound to happen, growing up around both sides i can easily see how this has happened, and its been brewing for years.

id hardly say that the people behind this are national socialists though, rather people who are fed up with taking and have finally cracked.

I would love for you to expand on this.

The people doing this are nothing but redneck, dole bludging s who would love any excuse to destroy stuff and beat up other people.
Exactly how these people have been taking and how that gives any justification for this is beyond me.

As for the Lebanese, I'm not sure. The society seems to have developed a culture of victimisation that they then turn around into outright hostility. I, by no means, mean this as a generalisation of the entire Lebanese population, just the group that gets involved with crap like we are seeing.

As for so called "National Socialists" . . . . . . . rednecks. Thats all there is to it. Equivalent to the USA's "C'mon Pa - lets go get us-selves a niggah", the extremist Muslim "Kill all infidels" and the Hitler "One of the most evil influences to the world is Judaism". This has no place and needs to be eradicated.

hehehehehe nahh I mean it in all honesty. So much to say, but for the first time in my life I can barely bring myself to words. Its just a disgrace! Banishing an entire culture for the mishaps of bunch of idiotic scum is so wrong. How this exists in the minds of some, is something I dont even want to begin to understand. Im just glad I was raised the way I was, taught to treat every individual on his/her merit without drawing to sterotypes relating to race/colour/religion etc. Extremism has no place in this world, but sadly this only rests in the minds of those who can see past the boundaries, the boundaries which now represent this society.

i know this type of behaviour doesn't reflect the largely tolerant society in Australia but i was still pretty stocked to see it nonetheless esp. in this day and age. i hope things are calming down over there as of late.

I remember going to school in Bankstown, my Leb friends at the time found Cronulla Beach and the nearby beaches, a nice spot to start trouble. I was invited on numerous occasions to have some 'fun.'

In year 12, there was an occasion when I didn't go, and I was asked and told "Bro, why didn't you come? Charbel took 3 phones from these Aussie c*nts, you could of got one yourself."

That is just one out of an xxxx of times involving Lebs at Cronulla.

so this justifies yesterdays riots

Im not defending the Lebanese. There definitely is a problem with Lebanese youths/gangs starting trouble, however I dont think that starting hate campaign, in what was probably the most racist public display this country has witnessed is the solution. Some wanker had printed on his t-shirt 'Ethnic cleansing unit', who would have thought in 2005 such sentiments had existed. Its a disgrace, first and foremost!

what is the solution though? i think a lot of the reason for the riots was the fact that residents didn't see anything else being done about the problem of gangs in their area.. hence they just cracked and went overboard. if something had been done about the violence before these riots, we wouldn't be seeing them..
