ISOS 4 is a huge disappointement for all people who know ISOS 1-3.
ISOS 1-3 were classics with OK mixing and fantastic tracks.
The mixing of ISOS 4 is terrible and I don't understand why Tiesto didn't mix the cds for a second or third time until they sound better. I couldn't imagine Tiesto is pleased with his work? :nervous:
There are some really good tracks on ISOS 4 but because Tiesto choosed to mixed 2 CDs we have too many average ones. It would be better if he stuck to one cd with 14-15 tracks which are mixed well.
Oh...yeah...we had so many ISOS 4 threads maybe you should just use the search function next time... |
Yeah I agree, esp lately as i've been listening to his first three ISOS CDs and then listening to the 4 and think "wtf?". I mean it has some really great tunes, heck some of the ones in ISOS 4 are among my favorites of 2005, however he really should have either made it one good CD, or redid the mix. He could have even used ableton or something to mix at least one of the CDs and use TTs or CDJs or whatever he was using for the other one, kind of like James Zambiela did. I'de rather have just one well mixed CD that flows, then two really crappy mixed CDs. The first CD had better mixing and flow to it than the second, i'll give that to him. I loved how the first three flowed pretty smooth, even though they had a few rough spots mixing wise. I don't know what happened on ISOS 4...but at least it's better mixed than the GOD AWFUL cd "DJ In the Mix" by ATB, now that is one pathetically mixed CD. Makes ISOS 4 sound like Involver. |

About the release: good tracks..and.. Tiesto has done something very special as a trance DJ! He has found house, progressive house and techno ... ;) |
He's played across the board completely since he first made the shift from Hardcore way back when. That he is well known for the trance period 99-00 when he made it big... is his own shortcoming. To be constantly associated with a genre only 1/3rd of his sound.
Oh well. Serves him right for making stupid remarks in interviews in 2000 about how he would never change his style from 'uplifting trance' despite its unpopularity.
The following year? What do you know! He's gone progressive trance.

Correction!
:stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
and ROFL. You think i have a problem with Tiesto :stongue:
The only problem I have with Tiesto is i've spent every penny i've earned since 2001 on going to see this guy more times than you've asked for his fcuking liveset. And believe me that means a freaking LOT.
You think i'm trolling Tiesto topics? :haha:
At least i'm contributing something other than the clueless "who can share me this set" post.
Perhaps you could think about it for longer than 5 minutes before flaming a reply in my direction. For 4 years ive lived breathed and worked damn hard to tracklist & attend as many Tiesto gigs as i can.
The only problem I have is when people like you and the topic starter here make silly errors when they "try" to support/defend the artist in question. Its bad enough he gets flamed to death on here. Without you guys supplying the ammunition to his haters by stupidity.
Good example - directly above this rant. Some guy perfectly explaining how Tijs has shifted to play both house and techno OMFG RLY? O JA RLY... :eyes: :stongue: What has he been playing since 1995? Uplifting trance.
Jeez.
Your reaction on the duplex set had me freaking in stitches laughing over here. Why? Cos you have no CLUE what Tiesto is about if you think that that set is a flash in a pan or a complete NEW style.
He's been playing like that most of his career FFS.
Clueless posts like that lead to this kind of response when you and your fellow second generation fans don't think first.
Maybe that explains better my original comment in tracklistings, along with why you'll find me in tiesto topics around the forums... its certainly not to rip on Tiesto. Idiot. :whip: |

i like ISOS 4, i didnt like it the first time i listened to it, coz the music was different and wasnt expected to be like that, but after listening to it few times more i actually started to enjoy it.
Tiesto makes too many different kind of styles, and i mean too many, they are all trance but they dont sound the same, and i think that tiesto does that because he tries to reach all kind of listeners and not just tiesto lovers, ive known some ppl that are not into the trance scene but they adore tracks produced by tiesto and only tiesto, and i never understood how he does that |

its clearly (if you can read that is) that his not saying with tiesto as you mention :wtf:
usually you say that etc on the radio : that were Stronger with Britney Spears etc :o |
I can read, but your post is unintelligable.
Y'wanna know why MichaelBoogerd! got up in a tizzy about that tracklist? It really does imply that Tiesto produced a track with whomever is listed.
And I've never heard the construction you give on the radio. Ever. What I have heard is, "That was Britney Spears with Stronger." |

ISOS 1 & 2 are brilliant
ISOS 3 & 4 are
Why do u think Tiesto put the Magik series to rest? because trance today is junk and he cant find tunes good enough for it...so he rested them instead of tarnishing the Magik series....i guess he figured he already fouled up ISOS with number 3 so why not make another CD of the ISOS series with crappy tunes....like he did. Even he knows the Magik is gone. |
