By format i think floorfiller is meaning the actual wording of titles, IDs etc.
Coming from a lot of experience writing tracklists... at least i think thats where the point was.
e.g.
Artist name - Event, Location - DD-MM-YYYY
or so. Then no matter where you are on the tracklists site, you know what youre looking at. |

yeah exactly...
i'm a neat freak ahhaa :p
kinda like how on Discogs you have to submit it a certain way to get it in there. it would keep the aesthetic look of the site if you could somehow manage a way to control that. |

same here... it would just make my skin itch having painstakingly stook to 1 formula writing a beautiful neat list of Tiesto sets, for some random to come along and type
"tiesto in my backyard OMG111 yeah - last night"
01. Tiesto - Traffic
I cant remember the rest. |

| I dont think there's a direct way of enforcing that but I'll look into it (mediawiki's documentation is huge) and if its not already there it can be customized. |

Question to the tracklist admin too:
I want to add Tiesto sets... where do you as Admin for the site want me to stop. Is this site for livesets only? Would you include CD releases too? Or just anything you can really get your hands on?
and before i start what about our format question? |

If each DJ had a big enough fan, who could monitor that section... titles and tracklist format could be edited to suit the general layout.
Thats too much for 1 person to navigate round the whole of EDM... but if there was designated co-ordinators for each DJ. |

I guess we should stick to livesets / promo cd's cause albums fall in the domain of discogs. why copy it over if its already done?
as for the format I'm open to suggestions. floorfiller has posted a couple of TL's with the dates in the "Month, DD, YYYY" format. is that good enough MichaelBoogerd!?
also regarding unidentified tracks I guess they should be left as ID as long as the user posting at least posts the right number of tracks - cause maybe someone else will come and update the tracklist sooner or later, but I'd hate to see empty tracklists. |

Cool :)
one final question: Rebroadcasts?
Include them, with reference in the text to where they were originally aired?
Not include them, but make reference in the original... that it was played here, here, here and by golly here too. |

| Maybe include just the title in the original tracklist. I feel it will be useful when someone is searching for a tracklist and he can't find it at least he will know its a rebroadcast and have the chance to look at the original tracklist. Or maybe on second thought that would cause more confusion? What do you guys think? |

Great idea, but as you said why reinvent the wheel. http://www.tracklists.ca has been up for a few months now and already has close to 3000 tracklists on it. Why divide the tracklists onto different sites, when we could amalgamate them onto one site and could find everything that we are looking for. |

I think at the end of the proper original tracklist you could post a section, something like "Also Known As" or "Also Broadcast these days as this show:"
Something like that? |
