Yes, many of you noobs (hehe, just kidding) might say 'WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY', but in fact he has GREATLY influenced the future of dance music to come from 1970s to early 1990s, introducing innovating dance music sounds that are still felt today, producing music for many famous disco, synth-pop/retro and house artists - effectively making their careers, plus he did his own KISS FM New York Mastermixes (if you're into early house music, you'll know what I mean !!!! LEGENDARY!)

Some info on him can be found on Discogs. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Shep+Pettibone <-- see his long Discogs page of remixes & productions.

Check him out. Or even better, share your thoughts here.

I first heard of this guy when he started remixing Level 42 back in the 80's and also Madonna.
It was partly thru Shep Pettibone that i got into EDM :)

Hehe ... Madonna ...

He produced Madonna's Vogue track that still sends shivers down my spine anyday.

If I don't care to know, does that make me ignorant? This is a rhetorical question. :)

Hehe, I am not attracted to guys, but I appreciate the thought. I notice you and me like a lot of similar music - disco, chicago-80s house, oldschool, detroit techno. Hehe, keep it up!!!

Very rare to find someone on this board with appreciation for a big variety of oldschool electronic music.

Well, I don't dislike those. Not actively.
