No offense to Menno de Jong, but I'm dubious about him filling Crobar. I'd think he'd be better at Sullivan Room or another smaller venue. Avalon, maybe, as it isn't as big of a megaclub.

Think about some of the events with headliners that we think are great, but still don't fill up Spirit or Crobar. Particularly, Ferry Corsten in October, James Holden @ Spirit a few months back, Donald Glaude 2 weeks ago. I think one of the times I saw Hernan Cattaneo it was fairly empty, too.

Well remember Ferry is a monthly residency. Not everyone is going to come every month back2back. So, sometimes it might be full, other months, maybe not. But Menno \o/

I realize, and I'd like him to come to NYC, too. But honestly, the best chance you're going to have of that happening is if you get a smaller venue to book him.

I see it as kind of similar to some of the other DJs that Sullivan Room gets that are quite talented (Paolo Mojo, D-Fuse, Ozgur Can, etc.), but just don't generate the crowds that Sasha, PvD, Tiesto, etc. do at Crobar and Spirit.

Love in DC has a capacity of about 4000 people.

, scratch that. I just looked it up and realized that I was wrong.

I agree...think about how many people come out that don't really know the music but know the names (tiesto, pvd, ferry, sasha, etc.)

Sullivan Room would be perfect.

forget Spirit...now what about Cielo :D :D That would be awesome -- great sound system, great EVERYTHING :D small enough venue too. i would SOO go...
