This makes absolutely no sense.

When you turn it back on, it doesn't turn on?

I mean, I know you mean that when you proceed to turn the iPod on, it won't start up. But I like to nitpick. :)

when i attempt to turn the ipod back on by holding the "play" button, it does not turn on what so ever!! like the screen remains blank!

buy the care package, and send it in and have it replaced...mine does the same thing....the battery will be half and say its dead and then shut off automatically. Sometimes if you wait about 5 minutes, and try again, it will fix itself and start workin again for a bit, but still, its messed up...send it in and have it fixed

oh and i say buy the care package, cuz is 90 bucks for 2 years, or 49 for the shipping if its past the 90 day warranty....which mine was. I dont know about yours tho.

Plug it in the Wall so you have it running through power regardless. See if it turns on.

Go to apple.com and request an iPod service (assuimg your still under warrenty)

I've already tried to plug it into a power source and it still would not turn on! i bough this ipod used and i highly doubt that im under a warranty but i'll check... assuming that im not under a warranty are their any other suggestions regarding how i couls solve this problem??
