Hi,
This is a new track i'm working on. It's again in my usual dreamy style, a bit more happy melodies in this one, well i'm in a very good mood at the moment, so that's why my melodies getting more happy i guess:) . I hope you like it so far. Programs used: Logic, Atmosphere, V-station, Blue and some drum and effect samples.

I've always liked your stuff and this song is just great. And aptly named - reminds me of some nice afternoons I've had. The lead synth is nice and the melody is pretty cool. I like the vox fx too. Well done.

nice intro.
hmm nice lead in the break.
woot this is pretty nice man.
The break got to have some bass in it.
It's too empty on the low end.
I like the percs.
Nice breaks. Unexpected as usuall.
You generally need more low end on this track.
Imo you miss some more atmospheric elements.
It didn't do much for me,
Decent.
6.5/10,
Omer. |

Nice track overall. Lead is cool, melody is nice. Pads sound a bit pushed back.
Break start isn't to strong I think with the lower keys in front. Nice sounding, tho some sounds are very raw, like the bass and lead, maybe you could try to refine them.
Good work Romi. |

It made my head move and stuff.
But there's no feeling in it imo. |

Hey Romi
Mastering and mixing is excellent in this track, everything sounds where it should. The song is quite dreamy, but It needs a more memorable hook to it...perhaps you weren't going for that kind of track. Good groove with the beat bass and percs.
However I do feel it sounds pretty similar to your last songs, same lead sounds, pads etc, maybe try some new sounds, don't want to end up like probspot ;) |

| Thx for the reply Ricky. First of all, i really like these kind of dreamy tracks, i sometimes make more experimental tracks (check out my tracks under my alias Defiance), but when i look at the reactions i get from people (and labels) this type of trance is the sound they like the most (and me too btw). And no, this is yet another lead i used for this one, never used it before:) . |

Hey Ron,
U indeed used a different lead sound and also you are starting to become better with your breakbuilding (the breakbeat again is very nice). Also for the first time I really think you have managed to get a track very good masteringwise. A lot of clarity, sounds all nicely in place (perhaps the bass could be a tad more prominent).
I do hear the little differences in this one compared to your other tracks (the bpm seems to be a bit higher for example) and I like it that you have made a more happy track. It doesn't do a lot for me melodywise though and I agree with RickyM that the track could use a more memorable hook. As soon as the sample is over I have already forgotten the melody or specific elements of the track.
One small piece of advice for you though, I think you have posted 3 or 4 tracks in the past 4 weeks here on TA (correct me if I am wrong). Perhaps you could focuse a bit more one creating one superb track with a killer hook instead of 4 typical Romi tracks. I think if you continue like this more people will start telling you that you sound the same all the time (which is not an attack in any way, just an observation). YOu have created a nice musical coat which has fitted you well over the past months. Now with your productional skills it is time for the next step. I am curious if you are capable of taking it.
Cheers! |
