| thnx for the info Sasha!! that is horrible....ppl have been doing CC fraud at my store as well but all you can do is be alert and always double check your statements etc!! |

i made the same mistake once. but i used my debit card. the damn gas station duplicated my card and stole 8 grand from me. i reported it. and the bank tried to bring me to court to say I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS PULLING A IN SCAM! welp turns out while im fighting with the bank they swipe my card and they see another purchase being made off my debit in some place in scarbrough at that exact time. so the bank paid me back every dollar. |

Ive had my credit card stolen before.
before i knew it happened, i got a call from their fraud detection dept.....
i never had to pay a cent of the fraudulent purchases.
if your card is w/ a major cdn. company, call them , report this... u SHOULDn'T have to pay ANYTHING!!!

So they are dealing with this fraud right now, but my balance is overstated! That means I dont have enough money for xmas presents!
+ my car got into the accident. dad was driving (waiting for the green light @ the intersection) when some stupid bitch smashed into his back! So it won't get fixed until December 30th!
The result: no money and no transportation on Xmas Break!

Hi Sasha...thanks for the heads up...I'll keep my eye out for any crazy payments on my mastercard bill. This is why I keep all my reciepts and check my bills every month!
Mastercard cannot make you pay for those purchases though if they aren't yours! So make sure you fight it if they don't honour your credit card! |

I'm not buying this - I've heard all kinds of nonsensical rumours perpetuated about Shell/Petro before (and it's ALWAYS about those two, never Sunoco or Esso).
I use EasyPay and I'm going to continue to use it. I think if this were true, the credit card companies would already know about it and have no problem figuring out a solution. Credit unions are very good at catching fraud. |
