hey i really like the new feature, but there are loads of old samples that have been IDed months ago still in the stream....we should get rid of those.
But how can I tell you (Swamper) when I found some to remove??

the sample will be removed when the thread has been closed, so if you'd like to pm one of the moderators with all the links you have?
We cant do it all :)

Wlcked Red has already started on closeing the old threads with tracks that have been IDed, about 4 days ago.
There are 19 pages to go thru so as u can imagine it will take a little time.

I did this once, at the start, around 40 pages, closed around 3-400 threads, was HELL, lol

thanx Red :);)

There is a lot of tedious work in the beginning but once that is all cleared up things will be more efficient...

I'm just happy I eventually got the whole stupid thing to work - u don't know how many nights I spent up till 5am pulling my hair cuz something I knew SHOULD work DIDN'T work.. that is the worst.

Sounds like computers, we spent an hour building one, did everything right, and then it didnt work, and it takes you ages to work out what it is. Oh well that is life unfortunatly

Going thru some of the older threads now like JULY 2001 ! !

ok...problem is after clicking the ID button I end up in a new window and I see no way to find a link to the thread I'm in then...:conf:
is it enough when I write down the name of the sample or the thread?

Swamper: You posted on the Unknown tracks streaming thread in chill out that the program checks for threads closed BEFORE october 2001

could u make it check further back than that ?

Simply cos as i am listening to the stream i am getting tracks from like May / June / July 2001
i am going to those threads and closeing (if they have an ID and those that i am IDing) them but not a lot of point if closeing them does not remove them from the stream

DjDawn: on the unknown tracks streaming page where the real player thingie is, it gives u the thread id# of the current sample
if u can get that number then we can close with that.

flystyler
Sorry i might be really confused here, but you r doing threads fro july and stuff, surely the people who posted those threads would of id the songs by now, or not really care anyway now?

yeah i know it shows up there...but it's gone after pressing "ID", right?
I'll go and check that now....happy IDing:)

*edit*: nevermind, it still shows the # after pressing ID, sorry!

well but we still have these tracks in the stream and the only way to remove them is to close the threads...and I also think some people would still need the ID.
