Just because the age restriction thing has been going on for a while now, doesn't mean it's acceptable. What is the point of an age restriction? I see people of all ages doing stupid at clubs. Do you really think making a club 21+ is going to make any difference on the crowd at all?

How many 19-20 year olds do you know that go to these kind of events? 19-20 year olds are going to Tonic on a Friday night. If an 19-20 year old is going to a party like this, it probably means s/he really wants to go. Having an age restriction or a dress code does not make the crowd more "mature". Besides, WTF is a "mature" crowd when it comes to afterhours anyway? What's the difference between a "mature" crowd and a regular crowd?

If you want a "mature" crowd, go to work, not an afterhours club. Getting bojangled and listening to 8hrs of Deep Dish isn't exactly what I'd call "mature".

well i never said that older = mature

i just said OLDER.

seriously G, i don't mean to play devil's advocate here, but if i ran a "25+" club for the longest time and suddenly decided to book Deep Dish, Fiddy Cent or whomever, it doesn't mean that I gotta start changing the way I run my club.

in all honesty, this whole house movement is starting to gain popularity in a lot of mainstream clubs. Places like Kabin and Fluid which never really had a solid house night before are starting too. The older 'chic' looking clientel concept is starting to catch on as well. sadly, if these places don't start attracting the type of clientel they're looking to bring in, it wouldn't occur to me as shocking if they started to implement similar age restrictions at their clubs.

fortuantely, let's just hope that there aren't enough of that 'clientel' to go around to make it actually happen. time will tell..

for what it's worth , i don't think u'd have a hard time getting in

The age thing doesn't bother me...but that's because I am older and to have a crowd closer to my age there is nice....but I still think the dress code is a little out there.....make it obvious what the dress code is...all that This is London is doing by the dress code they have is saying the bouncer will decide if you fit the image they want. Two people dressed exactly the same can show up and if one of them is not hot enough for the scene inside then the bouncer can refuse them entry and say they are not hip enough....that is what bothers me.

It's actually my aim screen name and the account where I keep my pictures. It was Jenn's idea to call the little clowns cribblets. I think changing my name once this month from Crib to Cribby is already too much lol
