Hola,
I've been looking online today but I honestly don't know what's good here in TO. I am looking for somewhere the 6 of us coming to TO for NYE can have a sitdown dinner - no more than $30 total a person for food.
We all like sushi and steak so I'm trying to find restaurants that cater to that which won't break my wallet and are in the downtown area.
Any suggestions? Help a Yank out! :)

nami on adelaide st. east is awesome for sushi.
it can get pricey though, depending on how much you order but $30 should be fine for food. more for drinkies! ;)
ps. ask for a booth |

Wont be tough finding a place that fits the criteria, but to reserve a table for 6 on NYE three days before...... might be near impossible.
You may have to settle for McDicks. |

For something a little different, that's not *too* pricey, I highly recommend Tempo:

Quiet, smaller place...great food. |

Anyone ever eat at Nami Sushi at 55 Adelaide? How expensive are they for hand rolls and are they any good?

yes, it's awesome. i think handrolls (which i like to call "fishcones") were around $7 depending on which ones they are. you have to try the sushi pizza. i was suspicious but it's ing amazing. omg. sushi sex. |

| KATSU on Danforth and Pape is the absolute best in the city for sushi...trust me, I've tried almost all of them, and all my firends agree too. For 20 bucks you can get a buffet, and its a fresh buffet (they make it in front of you), not the type they keep the food out. The spicy salmon rolls there are second to none. 3-4 of us usually end up eating ~75 pieces :toocool: |
