oh sorry, i just reread ur post. i made the assumption that u didn't like that look cuz it was like the whole "trying too hard" thing...
oh and chem...my boyfriend is not a redneck! my ex was more of a redneck than ever...but like a "classy redneck" if that makes sense. lol he was from Minnesota and used to dip while he golfed and go hunting back at home with his buddies from college.
i can't believe u think courderoy jacket with jeans is redneck. have u even been to the mall lately in the mens department? that's all there is! that, and those velvet sport coats.
the reason why he has to wear jeans is because courderoy clashes with dress pants material...u gotta wear jeans with a courderoy jacket. we went back and forth with this while shopping and we both agreed on that and even sales people at all the stores agreed. we tried to find him some nice black washed jeans (like those grayish color) from kenneth cole or something, but we couldn't find the right cut or size, so he begged me to wear his regular jeans and dress them up with a nice dark colored dress shirt and the jacket and some nice black dress shoes. trust me, the outfit is gonna work. |

of all clothes I like to wear jeans, regular tees & sandals or pumas...what does that say about me.
Don't get me wrong I dress up when I go out but not over the extreme...I'm more of the tomboyish girly...jeans/tank tops/sneakers with my hair down (I just feel most comfortable like that) & with SMALL BOOBS

Okay, I wish. Um..but..I..I dress like a norm though...which is basically how i've dressed since i've been wearing clothes...which is basically what my dad wears....which is basically what he's been wearing since he's been able to wear clothes....and so on. |

Actually, depending on the club I would wear dress pants. I wear dress pants almost everyday. It's just the idea of wearing jeans and thinking that is dressed up is wrong. If anything, it would be considered less than business casual. |

Is it the outfit that you think is hot or is it the fact your BF is wearing the outfit that makes it hot.

what? of course i like the actual outfit. i mean, a little of it has to do with the fact that my bf is smokin and could make any outfit look good, but for the most part, i just like that style.
it's a pretty common fashion down here...guys wearing jeans and sport coats with even t-shirts on under them instead of dress shirts and then some sneakers...that's a little too green day/mtv punk for me. i think it looks better if u actually dress it up and wear the nice shoes and a nice dress shirt under it. it's like a dressy casual look. u can ALWAYS dress up a pair of jeans, i don't care what anyone says.
yea, i see a lot of guys in clubs wearing dress pants, but i'd say it's like almost 50/50 when it comes to dress pants vs. jeans on guys in clubs...at least in south beach. everyone wears jeans with dressy tops and cool shoes down here. wearing dress pants out at a club down here is like you're trying too hard and it's even a little guidoish...usually the guys in dress pants down here have slicked back or spiked dark hair and a big fancy watch with a bracelet on and a goatee... lol |
