UMF & Carry On VIP Tickets, are they worth it?

I am thinking about getting the VIP tickets for UMF, but was debating on whether I should get VIP UMF with General Admission to Ultra Carry On or is the Carryon good that I should get VIP for both?
I like the fact that VIP does not have to wait hours in line like with the regular tickets, so that is a big plus, but what are all the benefits? is it that great?

| I think i speak for all of us when i say that the carry on was worth it. Sash and Dig threw down a nastayy set and the setup was overall nice. It had some nice lasers. I dont' think vip is necessary for the Carry on. I'd tell you to get em for Ultra, but the amphitheatre is no longer a reality since it's at bicentennial now. being on that stage must be awesome. But i'm sure Ultra will compliment you good either way. |

ummm. vip for ultra doesnt get you on the stage. atleast not the year i had it (ultra5). |

i think vip at ultra is a joke. i also think ultra is a joke. if you party for wmc then theres no point in going to ultra. ultra is just for those kids who cant get into the clubs during wmc. but thats just my opinion. |

So the best is just to go to WMC? I figured so. How much do most of the clubs cost around? I think I am just going to get the WMC Badge. |

I think it depends on why you are going. I've seen two types of attendees. The first is the hard core music fan that is there purely to see their favorite DJ, producer, or artist and don’t care about whether or not they have a place to sit down. The second group consists of those who go because it’s a huge party and they want to be seen at this huge party.
Granted, there are exceptions to every rule. But if you have the budget for VIP, by all means, enjoy. But I think the best part of it is walking around and getting a taste of everything that’s going on. It’s kind of like spending $2500 for a hotel room you’ll barely sleep in that week. |

clubs costs are different for every event, you'll just have to wait and see until the lineups get released. i think last year most expensive i paid for was pvd/sander/ferry/edgar at space for like $46 and the cheapest i got was james holden at b.e.d. for $10 or 12. so you see it varies. it just depends on what you want to go to.
but honestly unless you want to attend those workshops, i really wouldnt bother with the badge. |

Well, I'm no kid, but I've heard plenty of stories about how difficult it is to get into the clubs in Miami during WMC, or (at a minimum) the hours of waiting in line to get in. Being that I've never been to Miami before, have no connections there, and I'm not a female with a tan and silicone highlights, I'm going to have to go with the "sure thing" in case this is all the fun my g/f and I get to have while we're in Miami.
So, it's VIP all the way for both Ultra and the Carry On for me. I hope that my girlfriend and I get into more events during the week, but I can't see making a trip all the way to Miami with nothing to do but stand in line and get turned away at the doors of all the cool clubs. |

i'm guessing you've never been to miami before cuz they dont just let the "beautiful" people in. miami is about making money. thats it. they'll cram as many people in as they can. just get their early with your tickets prepurchased and you wont have a problem. |

Lol, no I've never been to Miami at all before, so thanks for the info. I'll be looking online for tickets (I'm actually pretty good at that) so maybe things might not be all bad. |
