| Remember seeing this here last year but didnt attend as I was arriving that day....so who planned it lets try to do it again Im guessing that it was fun |

| Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well seeing that the last year was very successful, myself and brian dont know what if we will doing it again this year but who knows, first we have to see what the schedule is like with all of the parties, then we will take one step at a time :gsmile: |

Ok cool just throwing it there now we have the WMC thread...I thought it was brian and someone else arranging it last year....well keep me and us posted if you guys do it again :) |

list of reasons why not to do a WMC TA Dinner:
1. restaurant management.
2. location.
3. food choice/variety
4. price.
5. scheduling (people say they are going to go, but never show up, which leads back to # 1)
list of reasons why to have a WMC TA Dinner:
1. because when it all works out, its really cool/interesting/fun |

haha yeah. i met alot of ppl at the dinner last year even though it was for a short while.
would love for it to actually HAPPEN. other than that.. TA should throw a party during WMC and everyone should go and support :x

Well, there were issues at both Taverna Opa AND Porcao, but at least we got to have the FULL dinner at Porcao, so Damon and vtec should consider Porcao again, and to have people who want to go PayPal/pay for their meal in advance so they can't say they'll go, and then NOT go.
You know I'm down for this. |

People have their opinions from the success and the failure of the next dinner, for instance, the first dinner for WMC 2004, myself and brian did was a success, of course the manager was being a lil anal, but hey nothing is never all perfect, but whatever, we had the dinner and alot of TA's showed up, probably counting over 70+, so that went down in the books during WMC 2004 as one of the best gigs, as for the one last year, the amount of parties during the week became more and more overwhelming, people wanted to do this and that, a good number of TA's were in line for hrs across the street to get a chance to see deep dish in that sausage fest, others couldnt get a ride, and others didnt bothering showing up, and not only that, but the management at the place was a in pain in the ass, and them alone stressed me out, but anyways it was somewhat of a success but somewhat of a failure.
However, cause myself and brian got this started nearly two yrs ago, we will continue to do it again over and over, u have the good moments and the bad moments, but still, it doenst meant we are gonna sit this one out, I roll my sleeves up again and work on something, who knows, a party in the lobby of the hotel, a poolside gathering, or something, no one else will step up to the plate for getting a get together, so I dont wanna have a 100 TA's in the area and not have a get together, we come here for a purpose, and between all of the house and trance fans, one day of the week, where we are all at one gig...
When I move back, I start looking into ideas and places, and if anyone has a good one, Im all ears :gsmile: |
