Alright, let's see... this is my first post on TA, it was about time I got myself an account here. I've met many of you over the years in Toronto and Montreal and even here in Ottawa, but never got around to signing up. Anyway, here I am :)

I left Ottawa around 8:30 PM, got to Montreal around 10 and EVERYTHING was closed and since my brother and I had an early lunch we desperately needed some food. My friend's boyfriend needed gas for his car too, so we all ended up raiding the fridge at an Esso!!! ty food... I'm just glad we didn't get sick!
Got to the club, my first time @ Red-Lite, got my camera ready, my battery operated glowsticks, even my sky-liner (no, that wasn't a dirty joke!:D). We get to the door and they're like "you can't take ANYTHING in" WTF???? It was NYE for god's sake, people wanna have memories of nights like that. Anyway, ended up going back to the car and leaving it all there.
Got in the club @ 11. Danced around a bit. Said hi to Fahad (whom I had met @ Viva for Airwave last summer). Thankfully my friend Nina and her boyfriend Barry were next to me and my brother Giovanni at midnight, so we counted down together.
Happy new year to you all as well;)
After that, we found a comfy couch at the back of the room and waited for Armin to come on. 2 things I noticed: the sound system was EXCESSIVELY loud, and the people around us smoked way too much.

So anyway, Armin came on with the biggest smile (as always). I moved right to the front for his opening. Met "Little John", nice to meet ya dude. Halfway through the set I moved a bit closer to the DJ booth, and ended up standing next to another Ottawa group. Met Linzie and Tia, pleasure to meet you ladies, and we all danced our asses off till 7 AM or so when Armin left. Sang to pretty much all the vocal tracks, so I kinda lost my voice towards the end. Oh, and hats off to Red-Lite's ventilation system, didn't get too too hot inside and there was no sweat dripping from the pipes on the ceiling!!:nervous:
Seeing Armin jump up on the DJ booth and dance was awesome, shows you how much he enjoys the music.

The remix of "Sweet dreams of made of these" kinda surprised me, not a big fan of that song I guess. My brother however always wanted to hear a trancy remix of it, so he was happy.

My friend Nina got really tired around 6AM, so her boyfriend took her to the car so she could sleep there. My bro and I left as soon as Armin finished too. Coulda danced a bit more, but it's all good. I got my trance fix:tongue3

Hope to see more of you TAs around. I saw the lineup for Trance Energy yesterday... it was sooooo sexy, I had to change my underwear!!!:nervous:

As I was going back to the car to leave my lights, some guy told me they sell them inside, so I said "ok, how about the camera? What, they have a Sony store in there too??" :D

well I just found out my cellphone had a "night mode" on its camera! Not sure how good the quality would turn out, obviously it can't be as good as my Canon.

Thanks a million to Malek for being there to take pics. Can't wait for the video and all the photos :)

I mad the trip up with Shanny, Serapiglia (and his gf) from Windsor to Montreal (with a pit stop in Toronto). Fahad picked us up and we made it to Red-Lite at around 11ish. The club was pretty cool, though the no alcohol thing was a bit of a surprise...and I wasn't a big fan of the wooden dance floor.

Met up with Linzie, and some other TAs (Ashley, Chris, Tia & Ang)...and also got to meet some of the Montreal TAs: Bertuzz, Malek and a few others though I can't remember your names sorry!

When I first got there the music was pretty good...though I think the system was turned up a bit too loud! It hurt my ears. The DJ who went on at 12 though I wasn't a big fan of. After 3 hours of boringness I made my way up to the front and centre for Armin who COMPLETELY saved the night! I think that was the best set I've ever heard him play.

Highlights of the night for me...Without You and Tracking Treasure Down!

Shanny, Serapiglia and I made a list of all the tracks we new...but they have it...so I'll let one of them post it.

Great New Years party all in all...great to meet some of you. Can't wait to come back to Montreal :)

I feel bad for Marco G.
The moment Armin was off the decks, a huge mass of people left the club.

We made it up from Windsor to see the arminator and of course he made it all worth it!

The beginning of the party was a little seedy, tunes not that great, and I was certainly not ready for having no booze.

But when Armin came on everything changed and I remembered why he is the greatest.

So great at interacting with the crowd, and making it a great experience.

I loved being able to be so close to the dj. We were front and centre the entire time and weren't too crowded.

It was great to meet Ashley and DJChrisS, it was truely a pleasure to party with you guys and hope to do it again soon!

Fran, what are the chances that I would run into you in Montreal, but nevertheless pleasure to see you!

Fahad thanks for everything, we appreciate it!

Betruzz, you are right that everytime Armin plays in Montreal I'll be there! Pleasure to see you again as well!

Long live Armin in Montreal, can't wait to do it again with all of you!

Highlight of the night for me was Armin playing new years day right out of the gates followed by Zocalo!
Wow!
