ok, you guys are completely missing the point of this whole story.
this isn't about violence or about honour. it's about the sketchiness of this whole situation.
don't you guys notice that this is one story to put into the sketchbag vault of shame? this guy that this this pinching cheek and calling the girl a whore is a total sketchpad. like who in their right mind would do that? i mean, no normal person would do that EVER. if he pinched her ass, maybe i would be getting upset and starting all this about honour and blah blah blah, but just take a step back and get used to the sketch factor at a place like Guv. i have witnessed and been involved in more stupid than i can count on my fingers. and all these are in the laughing vault of sketch. i also got some new ones from this past weekend.
i say laugh it off, like i have laughed off MANY MANY times. |

wow - definately suprised at the response from this thread. I asked my girlfriend about the incident last night and she hardly remembered it, not being from canada, i feel like i made the right decision by not dominating this guy.

IMHO, you did...as evidenced by her barely remembering it, IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL...walking away from some loser was the simplest solution to a non-problem and let you both get on with your NYE.

you say this is a matter of respect, but the one person you are saying should be respected, you are DISRESPECTING her wishes. if shes doesn't want you to do anything, then RESPECT that
and yes, we can take care of ourselves. we do it all the time when you're not around. and don't worry. if we need help, we are able to say so.

Speaking from personal experience, because something like happened to me in the past, you just gotta chill, and make sure your lady is ok.. that's the only thing that's important..
if you're lucky, you'll get to see your woman take that idiot to town. Cause there's nothing better than watching a woman whip the out of a retard..

Why are people so surprised that there are different opinions in this thread?
Some of us are more agressive than others, and would choose to handle things in a different manner. Personally, I would have done the same thing, just keep on walking and forget about the fool. However, I wouldn't hold it against someone if they flipped over something like this.
Just be comfortable in yourself, and trust your OWN instincts. You handled the situation fine, which is to say, you followed your instinct to just walk away. No shame in that at all man. |
