There are different strands of certain diseases so it is possible to contract a different strand thereby compounding your illness. Additionally, just because some STDs are incurable doesn't necessarally mean your immune system isn't fighting them. By continued exposure to the virus one must assume that the virus would strengthen in numbers and virility, this could lead to an overwhelming of your immune system and a worsening of your condition. |
