I don't know about the mixer, but as far as a CDJ1000 mkIII (or a CDJ2000, whatever you want to call it) is concerned, Pioneer seem to still stick by the words in this thread:

(taken from the Pioneer Pro DJ Forums)

Copied here for the lazy amoung you:

Dear Pioneer DJ Friends,

There has recently been some rumors about a CDJ-2000 being released in the next couple months which will be the successor to the Mk2. These rumors are just that...RUMORS...completely incorrect and unsubstantiated. There is no new CDJ going to be released this year. Are we working on a successor to the Mk2? Yeah, of course! Just as we are working on successors to the 800, 909, 600, DVJ, HDJ, 200, 300, and DJM-1000. When will it be out? Who knows. Whenever the engineers come out of their secret underground lair and tell us so. I can however without a doubt assure you that there are no CDJs planned for this year. The forum will be the first to know I promise and it will come from me.

When you hear rumors or see them on the net know that they usually are incorrect. I have found rumors get started sometimes by competitive interests that want to cause disruption to our sales. By effectively releasing a rumor like this they scare customers such as yourself from purchasing Mk2s.

pioneer will deny until the day of release. the new mixers (400 & 800), and two new cd decks (1000mk3 and 800mk2) are all about not for demos.

so is all of this to be believed? i'm looking to buy some cdj1000's in the next month...:conf:

Buy 'em... even if they do come out, i've heard all they'll have is some new auto beat match feature...

Looks hot..

hhmmm, surely Pioneer would have some sort of big arsed launch rather than world premiere it at a festival in Melbourne, in a promo tent. Not exactly the swish marketing you'd expect from Pioneer.:conf: And for that I'm still a bit sceptical.

ah yea told ya it was there!
as if pioneer is going to say they're releasing it and loose a load of people buying the mk2, like this they get the money for mk2 and then the money from the people updating to mk3

what did the mixer look like? Is it the new DJM-600?

The one thing i hope this brings, (if it's true) but i doubt it will happen. Is a drop in the CDJ1000mk2's price.

However, i can only see pioneer increasing the price of the mkIII and keeping the 1000mk2 at a similar if slightly lower price.

I'm really keen to see what they're thinking of with the cdj800mk2.

This is interesting, but i doubt it'll be released as soon as jan or feb. There just hasn't been enough hype about it.. Then again, who knows.
