Hi there,

i was sitting at the piano when this melody came into my mind and i thought that you can build a melancholic chillouttrack around it...

Well, this is the result:

Update:

Changed/added several things...it´s 96 % finished ;)

Symphony in H-Minor (Preview 2)

What do you think about it?

Thanks for your feedback,

Hi :),
This is going to be another great work from you, the mixdown is a bit out of balance atm, but considering is a beta I will avoid to comment on that ;).
I am wonder about the H, what note is that? I know there is CDEFGAB but never heard of the H :P.
In overall, this has a greta athmosphere, made me remember vangelis album Direct, looking forward for the final version, good job ;).
Kopi =o.

Thanks,

hehe, you´re right - to be correct it has to be B-Minor (wtf is H :toothless)

actually it doesnt sound like anything in spiral to me but it is kind of vangelis-ish...

anyway i like the piano, the pads, oh... the drums could use some work, not that they are bad, but they could be more intresting.

nice chillout track, it goes in mymusic for bed-time. ;)

what you call b is H in german, dunno why. And the bb we call b, alrighty? ;)

first listen, and I have to say this is just impressive. Lovely tune. The lead synth coming in later is maybe a little too dominant for this style, but the beginning is awesome, same goes for the guitar part. How did you do the guitars?

The whole atmosphere of this is very light and airy somehow, which you can really feel in every single second. Great job with the pads/choirs and other different layers, they work really well together.

Very nice stuff. The percussion is really great. Awesome kick sound.

I dont know if my speakers are correct with this but it seems there could be more warmth in form of sub frequencies in there, but at the same time I can understand you wanted that airy sound, so thats quite a difficult decision... I cant blame you for what you did at all. :D

Very good again. I really like the melodies and mellow sounds. The strings and vox in the breaks are gorgeous, really touching and emotional, just the way i like them:) . I don't like the kick though, the track could use a more firm one imo, overall the track could use some more low-end indeed, check that out. Once again you have proved you have a great talent. Keep on making these beatiful music.

Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it...

@cybernetica: guitar is a normal acoustic guitar with distortion and a LP-filter on it... :)

Good stuff, I like the moving strings a lot. The guitar sounds like it's following the strings, though, when it really feels like it should be leading everything. Very nice strings at 6:00, quite powerful and good for building tension. And ohhhhhh, the piano at the end it an excellent way to let it all build down. Wonderful, wonderful.

Thanks for your comment - i´ll change some things, the drums of this version are only 2 basic patterns, ...

from start this sounds a lot better sound wise to night flight. its a lot louder sounding. it hasnt the same moving vibe your greatest track has but your highly musical style really pulls it off none the less.

2;22 sounds moving now:) i love your sound! i can tell virus owners from non owners:)

your percs are nice aswell but kinda lower the chill for me and make it a bit more on edge..?

the breaks are the best bit.

good to see your keeping up the good work mr s

rich:)

great track... strings and piano go well together. the breakbeat patterns and samples can be changed however... they stick out of the mix a bit, perhaps some patterns that would flow better... and a lot more percussion would help the beats settle into the mix

very very well done, i like this.
