Stanton DJ Pro 3000

Hey I have some concern over the Stanton dj pro 3000s I just bought. For one the logo at the top is kinda scratched up with some of the material partly ripped off (will add pictures later) and also the LED lights are different color and one is brighter than the other.

Is this the usual? Or should I go return them?

Edit: The sound seems pretty good and the low pass & high pass filters are pretty nice. Very good sound isolation as well. I could'nt hear my brother talk when I had them on (with very little music on).

I don't how long you've had the phones, but I doubt you will get a pair of new ones just because the logo is ripped off. Maybe if you bought them at this exact day and you still have the original box.

I don't know about the LED thing since I didn't even know there were LED's on those cans, but I'd check that up. Either one of the LEDs are broke or the wiring seems to be loose in of of the cans, and that's not a good sign, although you claim that the sound is good. But you'll never know...I'd def. return them.

Big problem is that I live in BC. I bought these online from a place in NYC.... Shipping is going to be a bitch, then I gotta wait like 2 weeks then bring it across the boarder without telling the boarder guys... now is it still worth it?

^Theres the rip that is on it

^ Bad LED light

^ Good LED light

Sorry that the picture quality isnt that good but it was the best I can do. I know that the LED lights are just a gimmick but they should at least work somewhat properly!

P.S. The bad LED light is darker blue than the good light. The good LED color is like the blue in the Forum Rules thing at the bottem of the page.

Those marks look nasty :( But as you said, it might not be worth shipping them back and forth. I wouldn't worry too much about the LEDs as long as they sound as they should. You could fix that nasty looking logo with a dark gray and light blue felt pen...wouldn't look like a plastic surgery, but it probably won't be just as noticeable.

I just e-mailed the place I bought them from to (zzounds.com) hopefully they will do something...

Yeah the good LED light hurts my eyes when I look at it, where as the bad one is just mediocre.

Anyone else encountered this?

I had THREE times the same error with these headphones. The adaptor that convert the big end to the little one (I dont know how its called) is ed. It makes the sound come to one ear only.:(

Adaptors suck!
Whenever you can dont use adaptors they mostly are just bad quality one way or another.
My old headphones needed a jack and it was crappy and whenever i got a new adaptor it would start stuffing up after a week or so.

Get them to replace your headphones with ones that obviously havent been used and try twist there arm into giving you free stuff.
Timski
The ripping seems kinda gay... but its not like you can just walk around the corner to replace it... all this stuff is just cosmetic anyway...

The only problem i ever had with mine is they kept breaking (havent done it in about a year tho!)... Also I have acctually never turned my LED's on.
