I use bazzoid, EVm bassline, Vanguard and sytrus for bass sounds.
What do you use?
Terry Barker
i use z3ta+, vanguard, sytrus and pro53, the simpler the sounds are the better eg. use squares (different varietys on each input) and definetly mess with filters. the z3ta+ has great filters i find for bass personally.

almost only v-station.. as the novation synths have a lot of pressure.

how do you deal with the clicks in v-station?

if you don't know what im talking about lemme explain:
If you make leads or whatever, you can't hear them because the filter is fully open. But when I create basses with vstation I hear clicks which shouldnt be there (Some kind of clicky sound in the 8000 hz range or something, which shouldnt be there because the filter should be cutting sounds above 2000 hz or something). This is why i dont use v station for basses, only for leads...

well, i usually don't use the filter that much.. it's more a job for my eq.

Increasing the attack a little and reducing the amount of the mod envelope could maybe help you.

I use Vanguard and V-Station for the bass.

WAV samples :) and sometimes Vanguard or V-Station.

Speaking of clicks, how do you fix them in Vanguard ? Eg: when running a trancegate over say PAD: Strings@Dawn in the standard preset bank?

I fixed the underlying bass tones by throwing a filter on there that curbs anything below 140hz but the annoying clicks every so often are a pain :(

Tweakbench Pressure is my main bass instrument. I love it because it provides a lot of punch in the low end.

agreed,
I use the nova a lot for bass, novation synths can produce some really phat basslines.

My favorite bass synth is my trusty old Novation Bass-station. Turn down the cutoff, add some compression, and you're golden. It's great for those retro leads too :D

If I need something thicker that stands out a bit more, the Korg Legacy does an awesome job as well. If neither of those two do it for me, I'll turn to Vengence or z3ta+.
