i thought they used pizza to get rid of excess food. So people would have scraps from the week, extra meat, or vegetables, they would cook a pizza and throw all that stuff on it.

i doubt it. "pizalo mintov" doesn't make any sense, and "dough and sausage" sound completely different. as a matter of fact, the closest russian word to "pizza" is "pizda", which means "c_u_n_t". so maybe it wasn't the dough that lady spilled the tomatoes on;) |
