Depends on A)What Decks have you got, if any?

And B) What mixer have you got? If any?

nelly

edit: Fook me though! 400 euro for a CDj800.. And around 750 for a CDJ1000mk2..

Imagine if the prices were at that sort of level all the time. I'd love to know how many more people would buy them.. Then again they're so good that people just save up that little longer to get them i suppose.

Hmm..

Tough call, The 707 is a nice mixer as it stands.

Depends, can you see yourself mixing with more then 2 sources?
In that case, look into getting a new mixer.. The 707 should hold it's value quite well if it's in good shape if you sell it second hand. (Didn't they discontinue it as well?)

Anyway, otherwise you could get a CDJ1000, for the time being, sell the cdj200's and save a little bit and buy a second 1000, i dunno though, the cdj200's give you .02% pitch adjustment like the 1000's. Obviously the 1000 has many other benefits as well.

When using your setup, what seems to limit you? Or what do you wish was slightly better? Your mixer or your cdj200's?

nelly

ps. if it was me, i'd get myself a lovely mixer, the 200's would last me for a while longer, and i'd be able to see what happens in the next few months regarding the whole cdj1000mk3 thing..

Thank god i don't own a credit card :D lol

Hope that helps, a little bit anyway.

Thanks for the help. I think Ill go with the 1000s for now. I dont see myself buying the new cdj when it comes out so thats not really an issue with me. And while Id eventually like to add vinyl tables to my setup (hence a new mixer) thats not something Im going to do right away.

Well as i said, i think you'll get a fair bit of your money back from the cdj200's if you decide to sell them.

I'd guess so anyway. Some one can correct me if they know better.

Good luck either way, at just over 900 Dollars, i'd be tempted to get myself my first credit card lol..

There's just a little matter of me living across the Atlantic and being shafted with the price of a cdj1000 over here :(

Not a bad price.

Also try www.americanaudiocenter.com

$950 and they're an authorized dealer, so you get the warranty as well.

If that was my setup I'd buy a pair of 1200s and be satisfied.
