Yeah I use mine with reason 3.0. Just plugged it in and Reason already had reasonably good mappings for it. |

I have one, too (got it for 150,- euro) and I'm not really satisfied yet. the keys are really cheap quality (you hear the elastic springs and it fells like a toy piano), but ok, if u just want to produce electronic/ trance stuff it may be enough. I think my radium is broken because the black keys respond with higher velocity-values than the white ones do. this may be an electronic problem or so. sometomes I get hanging notes, dunno if it's due to the radium or something else.
the knobs and faders are good, a bit difficult to program tho.
An alternative might be the evolution. |

Yeah it's definately not a "weighted" piano like keyboard, but it's fairly cheap and wasn't any worse than the other offerings I saw at Guitar Center.
Never noticed any velocity problems or stuck keys (I do play piano).

I have a really good e-Piano (Korg SP-200) with weighted keys to play piano, of course this is a totally different thing. Weighted keys don't make sense if you want to make fast beats etc., in this case it's good if you don't have any resistance. But I meant the quality of the radium, it isn't really good in my opinion compared to other (costlier) ones. |

Yeah I have a digital piano myself (I play classical, so piano-like realism is important), and I don't really want to use that for production for exactly the reasons you state.
I agree that the Radium's are cheap, but for the price it does what it says. And if you are just using it as an input device it'll probably be fine. The whole thing weighs about 3 pounds :)

yes, it is the right choice for live-acts because it's so lightweight. i had this in mind when I bought it. |
