lol.
well i have 2 italian classes- one in advanced grammar & composition and one for translating (both should be a breeze, they're requirements) and 2 teaching books- one is actually a comic-style book by matt groening called 'school is hell'..! it looks awesome and there's some great content. the others are: in school we trust, to teach: the journey of a teacher, school & society and the story of american public education..honestly, almost all look pretty interesting- the 'to teach' book has a whole section about ebonics (it's told in narrative)..
and last but certainly not least..i have a feeling this is gonna be my fave..Deutsche 101!!! :happy2: i told michi's grandmother a while ago that i'm gonna learn german.. i love languages and i'm keeping my promise :D |

Did you know that King Frederick II accused the Knights Templar of war mongering (back in the 1200's)? He actually went so far as to say that their military order could not possibly exist during peacetime.
I wonder what the Carlyle Group would do in peacetime? Maybe they'd just ratchet up the incarceration rate a little bit more so as to help our prison-industrial complex buddies get some more business... and probably also invest a great deal into it as well. Of course, in doing that we would also have to wage an organized and publicised attack in the next stage of the neverending drug war, or something of that nature. There would probably be more undercovers and even more club closures, too. Because you know they really need to get all the bad people off the streets and into some freshly built jail cells.

I've known several of my friends since the 3rd grade. Just because you met your little clique on TA doesn't mean anything. I've chosen to remain anonymous to the internet for quite some time now, but I've also partied with quite a few people who post on this site. Do I really need to justify anything to you? No. You obviously had your mind made up before you even began. Your agenda is to try and discredit anything that I might say, because in your little mind you feel that I've insulted you.
Well, guess what, buddy - I'm not insulting you nearly as bad as the people who are destroying our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. They think that you are a lot more stupid than I do. In fact, I was going about this all wrong before. I thought that people would simply listen to what I had to say, would digest and then further analyze that information, and then also become more proactive in standing up for their God given rights. I was wrong. I'm now taking my cues from the mainstream media and am switching to Jerry Springer mode. Drama, scandal, superficial discussions about other people and what is wrong with everybody but ourselves, that's what gets people's attention. I definitely have you posting more. Maybe out of the next few thousand page views someone will look beyond the character assassinations and vile attempts at sarcasm and see the message for what it actually is. You know, those funny looking words that I've been saying in between the insults, which you seem to be unable to argue without first discrediting the messenger, rather than the message itself.
Yeah, I have something to prove, and that's that you would rather spend your time attacking me than you would actually attacking my message. Honestly, I have no problem with that. I'm very secure both in my knowledge and in my place in this world. We can continue fighting amongst each other all you want, but that's not going to stop me from saying what I have to say in an effort to help further exposing the moral and spiritual corruption that plagues this world.
Flame on, bucko. I'll be patiently awaiting it. ;) |
I have no problem with the message, my conflict is with you. And onto another question why do you even bother posting this here. Im sure there are boards with more affluent with politically minded people, as this board the majority are here to escape their daily lives and find info on the latest music. Not to be reminded of their daily lives. Does that make you cooler than us than you have remained unknown, and does that make us dumber that we connected with people over the internet with similar interest?
And on another note, are you actually doing anything about these problems with our country, other speaking down to your peers on a internet forum. If you really wanted to make a change you would spend every waking minute writing letters forming rallies and finding ways that your message could be read/scene/heard by the largest number of people. But its obvious your not as you spend a lot of time here posting bull that noone wants to here and they especially dont want to hear it from you.
But all this in the end, is useless and you will continue to regurgitate the information you read on they net or in books. Instead of actually trying to make the world a different place.
Sooo dance on my little monkey, because your nonsense is good for a laugh. |

Yeah, I'm relatively active. I guess you haven't noticed, though - but many people aren't so enthused about all of the surveillance our government has on it's citizens right now. Government agents infiltrating peaceful organizations, etc. Maybe this is just a little bit of what I have been talking about, ya know? I guess it's kind of that whole Orwellian vibe that's been giving a lot of people the creeps.
Yeah, it's good to remove your mind from the troubles and toils of the world, especially when the walls are caving in. I guess you would have been amongst those in the awe-struck crowd while Nero was busy fiddlin' away in Rome.
Anyway, some people can never be helped. No matter how hard anyone tries. I realized that a long time ago when I had to help tutor a few kids who didn't give a otherwise. I was the same way, though - so I won't argue. Some people just like to get wrapped up in petty (which they really believe to be important.) I enjoy talking with friends about the state of the world, about what can be done to help change it in a positive way, and about what I perceive to be the greatest obstacles to permanently destroying what I more or less call the oppressive forces that maintain a stranglehold on almost everything that is tangible. Yeah, I'm a - I hate the ignorance that pervades our society. I'm sorry if I directed most of my anger towards you, but at that very moment I was focused on ignoramus number one. It happens. Get over it. |
