Sennheiser HD 200 or at least HD 202 ftw.

Sony MDR-V6 or MDR-7506 are nice, light and comfortable with really good sound.

Best lightweighters are the Sennheiser PX100.

Dunno about heavier stuff.

I wonder if these cheap ones are any good: Philips S-900

yeh I used to have Koss UR-40, those had some nice sound for the price and pretty comfy too. i had no idea about sound quality til i got the grados though. it took me a couple weeks to get used to the feeling of the cups against my ear (they do have cushioning around the cups so it's not like a vice, just stretch the headband for a bit). Plus, I figure a little discomfort is an OK trade for such good sound.

i have sony v600s, they're good.

that's about all i can say.

Looking for a new pair of headphones. PC use mainly, but therell be a good bit of music listening going on too.

Absolutly no idea about headphones, so recommend away :) I dont want to spend a fortune on them tho. :D

I take it you didn't spend any money on speakers then...?

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD 555 which have impeccable sound, but they're kind of fatiguing to listen to for long periods of time. They're nice because almost every part is replaccable, so if something goes bad, or breaks, you don't have to shell out 100 bucksfor a new pair of cans. And, they look totally awesome:

How heavy are those? The look pretty comfy. The only beef I have with my MDR-7506 is that they are very light...flat frequency response gives them less bass than most cans...but they sound super crisp and clear...I just add some bass on the EQ and they sound fine.

Ive always wanted a full set of 5.1 or 6.1 speakers for the PC, but I havent got room for them. At the moment I take my soundcard and hook it into my hifi, and the headphones get connected to the hifi.
