Oh and the for the World Cup :wtf: I really hope Brazil doesn't win it, they're by far the best team and they've been on the last 3 finals, so another winner would be far more refreshing.

Our team is considered by many as part of the big favs group, but i think we're just a strong outsider. It is possible we could get there in the last few rounds, but we're going have to face opposition that is at the very least as good as us, starting most probably on the 1/8th finals (Holland or Argentina!).

For the past 2 world cups I've considered Italy and Argentina as huge favs yet they disappointed. I will go for a 3rd and keep them as my big bets.

You would know this how? You've played keeper? I am a keeper and keepers need to be in better shape than anyone else on their team. I have been told this over and over again by college coaches and trainers. Everyone always says goalkeepers are lazy and that they never have to do anything. We need speed to get to the ball before the forwards if we are slower than them they''ll score. Same with strength. Try diving from far post to near post, taking the ball out of the air, and not letting go. Not as easy as you think it is.

I've only played for a couple seasons as a keeper in rink hockey which is a very different sport so I guess it doesn't count as real experience, but still there are some small similarities.

Of course the keeper has to be in good physical condition, like any other player on the field! It's just that the physical skills required for the position are very, very different than the skills required for american football.

Raw speed is important when one-on-one with a striker yes, but timing makes a huge part of it. It is also very important to react fast but that is quite different from pace.

Strenght i don't think it is important at all (except for strenght on the fists to punch the ball!), you just don't see Buffon, Cech, Dida with the huge chest from those guys whose pics were posted before! It's all about agility, reflexes, not the size of the muscles! That's what I meant..

I don't know about those two playing Soccer, But I would imagine them playing Rugby, They'll kick everyone elses ass since Rugby is just glorified Football and Soccer rolled into one. :haha:

yea there are similarities in hockey keepers and soccer keepers reflexes is one. I used to play that too. But for american football you have to catch, you have to run, hit people hard, win balls out of the air, throw, punt, have good timing...... need I say more? An athlete is an athlete.

Try throwing and catching. Or better yet...using your HANDS. All while guys are trying to take your head off.
You both lose this argument. There's plenty of fast guys like Vick. It's just that Vick is a quarterback who has a cannon for an arm too. Do i need to explain what a quarterback is?
Football players don't stand around like soccer players when the ball isn't near them.

lol you are stupid, soccer players dont stand around on the field, you probbly seen some gay ass game between two college soccer team
