Sure wasn't a Mickey Mouse-goal that Egypt scored recently. 2-0 after less than 23 minutes.

Is gadahffi(sp) playing for Libya if not the off
zoric
Not sure. All I see is Egypt going too attack everytime I watch the match :D
Ian
did Mido score? He's doing well in the EPL :)

Time for Morocco vs Ivory Coast, but I'm going out in 20-30 mins so won't see all of it :( I think that IC will win by maybe 1 goal, not totally sure though.

Mido scored one goal and missed a penalty Ian, but the rebound resulted in 3-0 anyways.

OK. Time to watch Ivory Coast vs. Morocco..

Here's a little summary of the first half:

Very bad passing in the first half, both teams started out very easily and didn't make any efforts in the first 20 minutes. Then there was 2 chances in the match, one each for the teams. Ivory Coast started playing a little better and Faye came very fast on his right side of the pitch and passed nicely to Didier Drogba who fixed a penalty (It should not have been a penalty, It was outside the penalty area). Drogba took the penalty and scored it, 1-0 for Ivory Coast.

Morocco has started playing much better after Ivory Coasts penaly goal. They had a couple of chances, but they never managed to score a goal.

I can't say this match was any good, the second half was even worse then the first and neither teams managed to create chances.

Second half was filled with alot of bad play and the passing wasn't good at all. Morocco had some smaller sequences of play in the second half where they managed to create smaller oppurtunites. Nothing really special indeed except Hadji's shot over the bar which the Swedish commentators thought was a goal, it hit the bar behind the goal, but it was clearly Morocco's best chance in the match.

Nothing very special with this match and the referee's kind of ruined this match by first blowing for penalty when it wasn't and then stop the match alot of times because of offside, Ivory Coast had 7-0 in offsides and I can surely say that it wasn't offside 3-4 times when they decided too blow for offside.

Overall: A very weak opening match between two of Africa's best teams.
