guys this is by far the worst ACN i've seen, before the beginning of the competition everybody was like "it's gonna be the craziest ACN ever, lots of team can win it, lots of strong teams, bla bla bla, etc ..."
and so far all games i watched were crappy, all of them, there hasn't been one single great game, all i saw was crap. all teams were overrated.
african football is not as good as some people label it.

p.s. : ivory coast is crap, argentina and holland are gonna eat them in the WC, if you think they have a good defense then you must be dreaming. |

Mido was replaced less than 15 mins to the final of the game, score 1-1; he didn't accept it very lightly, approached the manager, arguing with him and had to be held back; funny thing is that the guy that replaced him scored the winning goal some 2/3 minutes later :D
Or something like that. |

seriously and not only all of this happend but every club so far except Spurs he has pissed someone off and left..Ajax/Roma etc i hate this guy:rolleyes: Does Zidan(sp) play for Egypt I hear he is good |

i could even read his lips he was saying " WHY me " hahahaah why the not hes ur coach N ur like the worst player this tournament , very en rude . also lots of teams are overratted
wtv i just want egypt 2 win the cup , we already beat IC we could do it again and that would be a happy ending

I must say that many of the teams in Africa is pretty overrated, although it's also very even between them. The most overrated team must be Morocco together with the World Cup 2006 teams.
Ivory Coast took themselves to the final of this tournament, but they haven't played anything like Egypt has. So the Egyptians will be mine favourites and I will be supporting them in the final. I'm still pissed that Nigeria was knocked out by Ivory Crap, but they've got themselves to blame for this.
About that Mido scandal, he's a important player for the team and I can't say that I've really seen the manager glad anytime besides when they score a goal. He seems to be very arrogant and I can understand that Mido got pissed at him because he was substituted. He's got every right to be pissed at the manager, but it's not like he owns everything in the Egyptian team, He has to understand that he's not the manager and accept the substitute. It's unproffesional to start fighting with the man who takes out the team. This sucks, really..
Mido seems to have problems with harder coaches, like the one in Egypt, He isn't the easiest person too please.
I'm dissapointed at Mido and the manager because I really like this Egyptian team. I hope everything turns out well..
Btw, Congrats to Amr Zaki for scoring that great goal with the head after being on pitch for like 2 minutes..
Nigeria has a too young team too win this tournament, but I've seen a couple of futuristic players out there. Nsofor is one of the better players in Nigeria, I can only agree with that. Yobo made a good job by being the leading the defender, also the goalkeeper Eneyama or what ever he's called, has been really good through out the tournament. Also, Okocha should've been playing alot more than he already did, quite weird coaching by the manager. Hope he gets the chance to play in the 3rd Place Match against Senegal, and I know Okocha isn't as good as back in the days.

you can't say we're overrated, we have lots of problems within the moroccan football federation, it's been managed by a Military General for 12 years, and he's running the federation like if it's his own business or whatever.
after sacking our old coach Zaki (with whom we went to the final last tournament) we brought Troussier, but after a month or something Troussier decided to leave, cuz he saw how unprofessional the federation is. 2 weeks before the ACN we finally get a coach (Fakher a local guy who has coached local clubs and won things with them, but never had the international experience), during these 2 weeks we had to arrange 3 friendly games so he could experiment and come up with the 11 essential players. during these 3 games we lost two of our key players (Zairi the moroccan Ronaldinho and Ouaddou the defender).
yes this was our tiest participation in the ACN, we were unable to score one single little goal, but it's not because we're overrated.
for the final game, i'm undecided ... i'm arab, i'm supposed to cheer fo r egypt, but i also want cote d'ivoire to go to the world cup as being the african champions (even tho they showed nothing stunning at all). |

Certainly the level of competition on ACN is quite lower than the last Euro for example but I'd say the problem isn't there. The matches have been dreadful because the teams aren't naive anymore, they don't give the smallest bit of space to attackers anymore. Some of the strongest teams have been clearly playing counter-attack as their main (only?) way to reach goal. It's like the Italia 90 of african football.

I don't think they'll have it as easy as that, but Argentina and Holland are favourites. Just to make it clear about what i think of Ivory Coast (based on one single match i've watched): their deffence is very good, Drogba is fantastic and they have a couple extra decent forwards. Problem is their midfield doesn't seem creative at all and they're really VERY dependent on Drogba. Meaning they have some strong points but overall as a team they are not that strong. |
