it's not the first time the Olympics has employed use of experimental sounds and visuals.. i think that's the whole point of the openning/closing ceremonies - to provide a spectacle of art and wonder

[sarcasm] oh my god....
what a sell out. I mean, you can't get any more commercial than playing the olympics, seriously where's richie gonna play next? Euro-Disney Land?
[/sarcasm]
Sorry, I'm just cut-and-pasting Tiesto comments and replacing the name from the last thread where a DJ played an event like this.
But seriously, is someone willing to take a stab at why the comments are so different this time around?
[Oh my god, I'm actually defending tiesto here? What the is wrong with the world?] |

Most of the time I forget everything richie has done...it's incredible when you think about it.
On that note, most DJs are doing work now that is outside the normal realm of DJing and producing music for clubs. I was surprised to learn Misstress Barbara has produced music for video games and she did a track that is being used at the Cannes Film Festival, I believe. Lots of artists collaborate on non-dancefloor oriented projects, we just don't hear about them. |
