Homelands cancelled

several promotors have been saying about this. Supposedly another event called hifi is taking it's place.

anybody heard anything about this. It is on the godskitchen website in the festivals part, could be interesting if gods put on a fesitval down here in the south. |

I thought the mattersly bowl was a quality venue for acoustics when I went to the 00 and 01 Homelands, acoustics were brilliant. Didnt really go after that as it became more house orientated and less trance.
Would be cool to have at least 2 trance arenas again like when Homelands first started out. |

never did get to Homelands. When did they have 2 trance arenas, that would have been awesome |

In 2000 there was basically 3 trance arenas as the Essential Mix, Home and Slinky tents held mainly trance djs. Oakey in the Home arena and van dyk doing a closing 4 hour set in the EM arena were pretty much the highlights of my life :D
Worth hunting down van dyk's EM from homelands 2000, it was legendary. |

| Yeh the slinky areana was mint back in the day at homelands, i remember Tiesto ripping the roof off. But homelands went ty with acts like Ian Brown and crap like that. Never liked their music policy and the weather wasnt so good either. Did global last year as my festival and it was awesome. |

| Homelands might still be on - the hifi festival is going to be in Newcastle. Have to wait and see. |

yeah i now realise this hifi is on in Newcastle. But something else is supposedly taking Homelands place in the south. We shall have to wait and see. |

Wow you were there for that!!? PVD's set is my favourite of all time! I've always wanted to know what he played after it went off air, do you remember mate?? |
