Yeah, I know, I don't really do the torrent thing. I have enough sets as it is and most of my time on a computer is spent at work where I can't install anything. I was much more on top of things when I was in college and had more time and control over the computer. Wanna send me a link?? :D |
I'll pm you in a day or so. I'm uploading a whole buncha stuff right now. But sure, I'll *ahem* let you sample it.

I'm not going to pretend illegal music sharing doesn't happen but please don't talk about it or arrange to perform some with another member on the forums.
thanks. |

| I have had 2 listens now of disc 2, yet to listen to disc 1, and there is nothing that excites me on here. There is hardly any emotion shining through, aside from Malcolm Middleton - Solemn Thirsty appearing about 15 minutes into the mix. It is a very forward thinking mix, and that is something to admire on its own. However, it seems the ever-forward thinking Holden has forgotten (or abandoned) what has made him successful. His style currently, is on to something, at least in my opinion. Rather than throwing glitchy track after track, think if he interjeccted a few more songs with melody and soul in them, like Malcolm Middleton's track. Juxtaposed against the at times, harsh sounding, glitchyness of Holden's style, and you have a new formula that I have never heard be used consistently in an EDM mix comp. |

| im surprised no one has mentioned Lazy Fat People - Big City...the transition from the previous track to this is absolutely amazing!!!! the buildup to the track is so tribal...with those instruments taking you into this african journey n then 'Big City' starts playing....very nicely done! |

This mix is just decent, nothing mindblowing. Few notable tracks here and there, but not even 1/10 the quality of Balance. Not worth your money. Just my 2 cents.

seriously, this isn't a random compilation of soul-less, emotion-less minimal tracks. i think it's one of the most emotional (decent) things i've heard in the last few months. listen to it again plzkthx. |

Lol:D
But what I meant, is that some music doesn't have to be emotional to have the listeners' attention. Music that sounds minimal, can get very deep into the groove or "texture" of the music. It's ecsactly what the most of these artists on the CD are trying to tell. It's probably a thing that Holden doesn't even know:p
And that's why this CD sounds uneasy for any minimal/techno/IDM-listener. It's just a thing DJ's would do to to give "prog" a new meaning. And with every attempt, they make tier music and bad consepts imo:o |
