The OHMSS soundtrack is amazing as well, "We Have All The Time In The World" by Louis Armstrong is one of the most beautiful songs ever made. Exellent movie as well

Moby - 'God Moving Over The Face Of Water' is probably one of the best pieces of music to be used in a film. Any of you who have seen the final scene in 'Heat' with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro will know what I mean.

Absolutely!!

Some that highly recommended are:

Amercia History X - Anne Dudley
Armageddon - Trevor Rabin
We Were Soldiers - Nick Glenne Smith
Hero - Tan Dun
The Mission- Ennio Moricone

Resident Evil - Marilyn Manson did the score for this movie and, wow, is it both creepy and digitally haunting. :nervous:

Bram Stoker's Dracula - Yeah, the 1992 version with Monica Bellucci. And Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves...but mostly Monica Bellucci. :p The score was originally composed by a Polish (I think) man named Wojciech Kilar. Oakenfold uses his theme 'Love Remembered' in his album 'Fluoro'.

As mentioned, anything by Vangelis will captivate you.

Ooh, I know...

Hellraiser (I and II) - Christopher Young did a brilliant and energetic score for both of these films. Of mention are the subtleties within the actual music, itself...Tibetan horns sound the morse code for "G-O-D" at certain landmark events in the film. Very neat stuff.

Heat and Last of the Mohicans...good lord yes. Michael Mann films seem to always have astoundingly emotional scores to them.

Legend - Wow. The Director's cut of this film had a drastically altered musical score from what I could tell and it is absolutely amazing. Very ethereal-sounding, captures the neo-wagnerian opera very well. :D
K.I.K.E.

+1 on this one. A true masterpiece in my books.

My favorite movie composer is Lalo Schifrin. He's made awesome music that's been sampled ALOT.
He wrote the Mission Impossible theme, along with all the music for the original series. He also wrote the music for Enter The Dragon, The Dirty Harry Movies, Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke and many more.

Estella
Amelie's score composed by Yann Tiersen is nothing short of magical.
Allied Nations
Good call Estella!

I love that film, that was me and my friend way to spend sunday mornings after a long saturday night..Me, Her, Cookies, Coffee and Amelie..

I'm gonna go with Vanilla Sky(Tom Cruise Version)... The movie leaves a lot to be desired, but the soundtrack, I've tracked down all the tunes in it, it's impeccable.

One of my favorite collections of songs ever. Timeless for me personally..

Mint Royale - From Rusholme with Love
Radiohead - Everything in its right place
Looper - Mondo '77
Josh Rouse - Directions
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun
Thievery Corporation - Indra
CHemical Brothers - Loops of Fury
Leftfield Barnes - Afrika Shox
Underworld - Rez
Bob Dylan - Fourth time around
Red House Painters - Have you forgotten
U2 - Wild Honey
Creeper Lagoon - Wrecking Ball

And lots more.. so good!
