English/Scottish/Welsh etc vs British

Are the any other countries that have a similar problem, ie the choice us UKTAs have over whether to have a British Flag or English/Scottish/Welsh/N.Irish Flag.

English flags definately seem more common than British flags

imo the british flag is outdated & not needed, in this day & age, you don't hear welsh, scots or northern irish people descibe themselves as british, and i'm the same, I was born in england etc, so im english, nowt else :D

My dad brought me up to dislike all welsh and scottish people therefore i'd rather not associate myself with them by using the union jack flag.

I'm English, but a Scottish lad on my course describes himself as British "coz Scotland's " - haha

Never ever thought I'd hear that from a Glaswegian

it's all really confusing. Because no-one has the nationality English. We are all British, at least according to our passports.
