| A lot of times when they have events here, a friend of mine is obligated to be the MC because he is a VJ for MTV India and it's part of his job. SO that's the way it goes.. Blame the organizers, not the MC's, they are just doing what they got to do. |

No doubt. I don't think I've ever seen one that's even been close to par or sub-par; the three times I've seen DnB, they have always impressed me. |

that's called a gameshow.
MC's in D&B are great as a rule, and in gabber/hardcore can help heighten the experience, I agree they dont belong in trance, but you're letting a few rotten apples spoil the pie. |

| I've never been convinced by MCs, I've been going to DnB raves on a regular basis for the past 7 years, and I still cant get my head round why they have to be there. A mate of mine who is a DnB DJ said that MCs are needed as there arent any lyrics in the tunes, my argument is that a lot of dance music doesnt have lyrics, but that dosnt mean that it needs some dude shouting at the crowd through a mic. It also gets on my when the MC takes over, telling the DJ what to do. The MC should complement the DJ, by chatting lyrics that are understandable and meaningful. I've heard an Andy C mix from Westfest recorded in Oct 2005. The MC (Skibba I think) lyrics, which he repeatedly uses throughout the set are based on an advert shown in the UK years ago for quality street chocolates. "Thank you very much for being a raver, thank you very much, thank you very very very much". Now how can anyone say that is talented? OK, it made me laugh the first time I heard it, but not because its funny, but because its so horrendoulsy cheesy and untalented. Andy C played a blinding set, which not for the first time, was ruined by some idiot spouting e over the top of it. Get some DnB mixes without MCs, its so much more enjoyable to listen to!! I just wish it was the same in the clubs... Anyway, dont listen to hip hop so cant comment. |

| yes!!! i support this 100%. went to a wicked dnb event last night and the mc totally killed it. i dont need someone yelling at me telling me what to do. music>mc anyday kthx |

as i have said in numerous threads on this website, Buster is the worst thing to happen to EDM since, well, hmm... no actually he is the worst thing EVER.
otherwise, you have to love pete tong's few, well-timed interjections during sets. anyone been to an EM live? i have, and hearing 'this is the essential mix, live from ___' is really hot! |

Someone I went to school with is now a full on hardcore MC, apparently he's quite good if you like that sort of thing. |

| Only mc I can stand is the one in the Nu Nrg Live at orgasmatron set's. Other than that MC's piss me the fcuk off and I want to kill them as well as all the people who sit down and do light shows and people who bring ing whistles. |

congratulations, You're both ignorant and an idiot :) As I said before, there are places that the good few belong, but then you let some gimp who talks over a trance set or something give you the impression that all mc's are . talk about tarring all with the same brush. |
