So after 3 years in "the scene" it's time for me to hang up the raving shoes and do all my chinstroking from the comfort of my own bedroom.
It's been a good run - having made many friends, taken many photographs, opened myself up to the beauty that is EDM (can't listen to RnB and pop in the same way I once did anymore, but of course the more recent stuff has been anyway), and who could forget the forever magikal Euro Trip of 2004 where I found myself at Sensation White, Love From Above, Fight The Power, and Creamfields UK with my boyz!
Then there was the master JZ at Field Day 2005 - best set that I have witnessed EVER. Just too many wonderful moments to list (though I made a bit of an effort in this thread on TA).
Trance has evolved and today's flavour just doesn't do it for me. Looks like Australia is following the trend set in Europe anyway, with House taking over bigtime. It's good, and I like some of it, but it just doesn't evoke the same uplifting PLUR moments that made the scene special to some of us.
So this will be my exit tour...
25/11/05 - Sweetchilli pres. 5 hrs of Desyn Masiello @ Candy's Apartment ($20 at the door only)
03/12/05 - Renaissance Summer Ball ft. Sasha, Zabiela & Fanciulli
17/12/05 - Gatecrasher ft. M.I.K.E & JOC @ Home
01/01/06 - Field Day
and to close it off, going full circle as it started with Armin in Melb with GK in 2002...
Feb 2006 - Two Tribes Melbourne ft. Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz + more
Hope to catch you guys at some of these events. If anyone can make it to Melb TT, DO IT.
It's been a blast that's for sure.
Oh and I'll still be post-whoring so this isn't a farewell/i quit/departure from TA thread as such. |

| Welcome to the dark side anth. Nah, i'm like you actually.. been to some wicked parties in my day but I don't ever get the appeal much atm. I think you'll go out again just not near as often as before, you'll save it for special occasions imo =). |

back to your wine you!
Interestingly enough, feels that way sometimes. Where once it didn't bother me to travel into town for a party, nowadays it's a drag and a half.
Lol jolz i'm sure you'll let me know if faithless ever visit the retirement village. |
