Somebody mentioned Spaten, I really like their offerings.
I'd have to say that Chimay Trappiste Ale and the subtle variations are some of the best beers in the world.
EDIT: Oh and Guinness is great! It and Boddingtons are my favorite stouts. |
Boddingtons is not a stout, it's a really ty bitter.
Guinness is not great.
Chimay isn't too great either.
Other than that pretty much everything you said was true. |

I hate dark beer, but the lighter side of lagers is growing on me.
Stella! :)
If you like dark, try:
Spaten Optimator

Flavor profile: Full bodied with a deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor.
Original gravity: 18, 2 %
Alcohol content: 7,2 %
Available as 12 oz. 12-pack, 12 oz. 6-pack, 16.9 oz. single bottle and 30 liter keg. |
oh dudeeeee.....i was just flipping thru the replies to see if any1 had any real taste in beer......and i think we hava winner......
good taste in beer champ....i must agree Spaten is probably til this day the greatest brew that has tingled my thyroid...i orefer the lighter one myself but the dark one is just as delicious.....
Also for those of you who enjoy a great tasting brew, you should
honestly try Armenian beer.....Kilikia and Kotayk are among the highly distributed ones.....Kilikia is more choice than kotayk, simply cuz it hasa lighter more fruitier taste (which i love). PM if you wanna find out where 2 get it.....
Boddingten +1
and also Grolsch Blond Lager....yummy |

Apparently you don't have any taste yourself though.
Anyone who likes Boddingtons and Grolsch clearly have no idea what they are talking about. |
