So tell them over msn, or in a pm. Is it so hard really? And I _don't_ look at those threads the majority of the time. However the fact that I have to sift through 10 layers of bull before I get to what's actually interesting on TOTA is annoying as hell. Which is why we (the people who find appreciation threads retarded), finally started saying something about it. Those threads have nothing to do with the majority of the people on TOTA so why not get all the people who want to appreciate someone and send a mass email or something. Or a card. |

Telling them over MSN isn't that easy when people have very different schedules or when people's PM inboxes are always full. Sending mass emails isn't really that good of an option either...b/c how appretiative can you be in a generic email saying "I appretiate you". Personally, if I am to participate in appretiation threads...which I don't always do (nor have I started anyway...well that's a lie, I started one when I first began posting), I keep my posts unique and personalized to the person.
I understand your annoyance in having to sift through all the appretiation threads...and I apologize for that...but I throw your comment back at you...is it really that hard to click "page 2"? |

WHO ING CARES. Not everyone's going to be happy all the time. This time we're bitching about the Appreciation threads. Next it's gonna be the Birthday threads, or the Welcome threads, or the Download threads, or the content of the Party Review threads, or the Roll Call threads, or the Political threads OMGGGGG. As if a ing website can honestly piss you off to the extent that you feel you have to "say" something. It's the INTERNET for christ's sake. Read the you want and don't read the you don't want to. I think some of the threads started on here are super ing retarded or even moreso some of the comments. I read them, I laugh, I move on. What's interesting to some people is not going to be interesting to others and seeing as none of us _own_ this webspace we're not really in a position to be crying over spilled ing milk.
Plur away people. :)
I'm pissed off I had to type that out. I'm gonna go start a thread about it now.

:wtf: Wow you "appreciation" people are stubborn. It is _not_ hard to click page 2, but _why_ should the stuff that is actually meaningful be pushed to page 2 while page 1 is full of ass-kissing? I mean can you understand what I'm saying here? In the sense that those threads are just completely and utterly irrelevant to 90% of TOTAs? Well appretiate threads must be meaningful to a significant amount of TOTAs if so many people are starting them and posting in them. Why don't we take a poll if it matter that much to you guys?
As Laura pointed out...I don't care about a lot of the threads that are on the first page...i.e. Raptor's threads or any sports threads for that matter which could in fact be posted in the SPORTS section of the forums, yet I don't complain...I just skip over them...as most people do in forums when they come across threads that they have no interest in. That's the point. |
