I've used the dictionary and some translation websites but this is confusing me.
To english:
Esa obra(work?) era un escandalo(scam?) porque la confusion y la maravilla son operaciones propias de Dios y no de los hombres. Con el andar del tiempo vino a su corte un rey de los arabes, y el rey de BAbilonia(para hacer burla de la simplicidad de su huesped)
ok.. so I'm getting: This work was a scam? because the marvelled confusion were operations of God, not the men.
With time came a cut? err lol an Arab king y the Babilonian king (made (burla?) simply (huesped?!) I'm not finding burla or huesped (accent over first "e") anywhere.

The work was scandalous because confusion and wonder are God's work and not that of men. As time passed a king came to his cut from arabes(arabs?), and the King of Babylonia (to ridicule the simplicity of his huesped(people/slaves?)

The work was a scandal because the marvelled confusions were operations of God and not of men. With the passing of time, the king of the Arabs came to power, as well as the king of Babylon (to make fun of the simplicity of his tenant).
Weird sentence. Where did you get this from? |

the work is a scandal ecause the confusion & amazement are works of god and not man. In a short coming of time came a Kinf of the Arabs and a King of Babilonia to do something*?* simply from their guests?
that last sentence i have no idea. or mostly in the parenthesis i dunno.

Renzo worded it better.. cuz translating word for word from spanish to english doesn't make sense. |

It's for a Lit class... hah it probably doesn't make sense because it's a paragraph in the middle of the story "Los dos reyes y los dos laberintos" ... sorta like Aesop's fables for the minority dishwashers. so interesting, yes?

That work?/deed? was scandalous because confusion/?mysticism? and marvelousness are both proper operations of God and not of men. As time went by a king of the Arabs came to his court, and the king of Babylon (to make fun of the simplicity of his host). |
