when i was registering for classes last semester i thought to myself, "considering i didnt take a math class last semester, maybe i should take math 95 to brush up on my math skills cause they might be a little rusty". i did this without even thinkin bout the fact that it doesnt count toward GPA or credits. i went to the class monday and the teacher pulled me up after attendance telling me i got a high score on my placement test so i should take a harder course. unfortunately it seems like EVERY SINGLE CLASS is full. we took the pretest and i thought this is hard. i dont remember anything. plus i'm used to using a calculator, which we cant use in this class. so im doing my "homework" if you can even call it that this morning and holy . this is the chapter that you're supposed to know by now. i glanced through the book and the fact that someone can get into college without knowing this stuff makes me sick. this is the easiest i've ever done. its like adding, subtractin, multiplying and dividing fractions and decimals. converting percentages and things like: 39-14+2*5 and |-9|+|-5|

the stuff in the LAST CHAPTER of the book is stuff like quadratic equations... srsly.. :wtf:

i'm pissed. what a waste of money and a semester

so do you get front row parking as well
D-res
luckily no. although it doesnt make a difference to me. its still an hour and 15 minutes of a person telling 30 people around me stuff i already know. if it werent for the daily assignments, i would only go for the tests

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. hahaha

I am taking the lowest Math class that counts for transferrable college credit possible. Our last test was only 30 questions long, and half of it was multiple choice. All of the answers were 'A'. :wtf: :stongue:

We work with things like...number sets. :toothless

Yeah, way to lower the bar.

Don't need parking when you take the short bus.

drop the class, save your money...

or skip every class and just fail it since it doesnt count towards your GPA...

yeah but then when i go to take the 100 level classes they'd see that i failed that class and they'd send me back there cause i wouldnt be ready for the 100 or 200 level courses. i could drop it i suppose. that would only be 3 classes a week and still only 9 credits. i've literally been trying to sign up with anything that sounds moderately interesting but everything is full or conflicts with my schedule. this is the only instance where large school = lose

then drop it and drink more... then they wont see you failed it..

plus you can take a test to clep out of the lower level classes...

almost any school of any size should have that option..

San Diego Mesa College requires math 95 before placing anyone is their own respective classes
I'm guessing it's state wide though, correct?
