I couldn't pound in any more sarcasm with a sledgehammer. I can pack more in if you've got a steamroller handy.

So for anybody against the whole not having a positive role model of the opposite sex thing, I'll say this:

Beleive it or not, single parent households do exist:eyes: OMG OMG

Ok so what do you people think about this issue? I guess, personaly, I'm against it only if the child would be raised without a stable and positive influence from both a male and a female.

So yea: yay or nay?

Please tell us your great plan about how you are going to test whether the child would be better off with a male and female rather than a gay couple. I'm anxious to learn how you will predict the future.

I don't possibly understand how you could be against this unless you've truly never given it any serious thought.

Gay or straight, if they are a single person or a couple who wants to raise a child, and can provide a good, loving home for the child, they should have the freedom to do so. That's all there is to it.

What you should be really worrying about are the reckless heterosexual couples who wantonly have drunken, irresponsible, unprotected sex and accidentially have children they do not even want or will adequately provide love or a good home for.

If 2 gay men or 2 gay women want to raise a child, and will provide a very loving and nurturing home for the child, then what problem is there? It's just as beautiful a thought to me as a loving man and woman bringing up a child in this world.

If your entire argument is that there will be social problems and stigmas surrounding this child, then your opinion is pretty weak. I'd say that children with drunk, abusive parents face a lot more troubles than people with same sex parents. I know it's not fair to compare the two issues, saying that having gay parents is not worse than having abusive parents doesn't really say much, but my point is that almost every child out there faces problems in school and in life, for one reason or another. It's the struggle to deal with these issues and glean some understanding of the world to better themselves that make children grow into responsible, strong individuals. Especially when they are brought up in a loving home, gay or straight.

Personally, I would like to see more couples adopt children than make more - there's a lot of Chinese girls abandoned at birth that need a good, caring home ( :( ) but my ultimate opinion is that if the child will be brought up in a good environment - what difference will it ultimately make whether the parents are straight or gay?

I hear that when children are raised by straight couples it always makes them straight. So, we can assume that if children are raised by homosexual couples, it will make them homosexual.
Xenocreator_PG_
statistially & surprisingly the chances of a gay male getting pregnant is very close to zero.

So all of today's homosexuals must've been born from homosexual parents!

I bet none of you have read BF Skinners Walden 2, in it he creates a community of people that live by his view of behaviorism. Children are reared in a controlled environment, and there are some more changes, but the point of the whoel thing is that we should empirically test our customs and beliefs to see if they are the most efficient ways.

great book. hes an awful writer..but an interesting thinker
