| Most people speak english. I advise you to take the bus tour to Chichen Itza, I think it was $50 or $100 but well worth it. How much you spend is going to depend on how extravagent your trip is going to be. If you're just lying on the beach boozing you'll be fine. If you're doing sea kayaking, waverunning, mayan tours, etc., find out those costs and plan ahead. And whatever you do, do not pee on the streets. The police don't seem to like that for whatever reason and I had to trade in my watch for my freedom. If you absolutely must pee in street wear a decent looking watch. |

while english is wildly spoken, just a few words of spanish will help, I goto spanish territories a lot & they appreciate u so much more just by trying
gracias = thank you (gra-thee (as in third) ass)
Hola, Que Tal ? Hello how are you (Ho-lah, keh tahl)
Muy Bien, Gracias - very good thank you (Mwee Bee-yen)
Mal, Muy Mal = ty :p
Buenos Dias, Buenos Tardes = good day, good evening (after 6pm)
si = yes
hablas ingles = do you speak english
should be enough for basics :) |

LOL, I seriously doubt I will get the inclination to pop a squat in the streets.

No, I know she is paying too.
There is only 8 of us, but she is arranging the accomodations and such. She is as equally concerned about cost as all of us. |

don't take this the wrong way theresa, but you might want to hit a tanning bed a couple of times before you go.
you have such fair skin...if you plan on going down there and tanning at all you might burn really bad because you don't have any kind of base. just a suggestion because i don't want you to burn really bad and then be miserable for half of your trip :p |

You're so cute :D
I am going tonight and tomorrow, and probably again on Sunday. I am trying to convince my roomie to go, but he is a stubborn ass.
I will keep it up until we leave.
Oh and I also need to do some speedy toning. Anyone have suggestions on quick toning? Something that will help me look a little firmer in three weeks. LOL!!
No srsly. |

LMAO!!
I am bringing 3 types of sunscreen, 7 SPF (for brief tanning periods), 25 SPF, and 60 SPF. I want to let the sun soak in cause I really do need some colour, but I don't want to be a toasted Theresa by the end of the week either. So I'm bringing all for just in case purposes. If the 25 doesn't seem to be holding up, I will layer on the 60 LOL!
P.S. If anyone doesn't know how white I am, look in the "post your pics thread". I am fondly referred to as "Caspers girlfriend". :D |
