Ok, Photon Project is a really good producer. :D :haha:
Tiesto was good until Flight 643, Flight 643 is also nice but thats when he started going wayyyy to popy...
While ISOS 3 was perfect, every track of it and ISOS 2 was AMAZING THE OMG CD, ISOS 4 is nice but it's a huuuge disappointment.
He's olimpics productions are crap, the just be album is total crap.
Adigio for strings sounds like a 3 y/o who playes a keybored.
He's a decent dj but he trainwerks a bit.
For some reason he trainwerks more now, in 2000 you couldn't hear much trianwerks.
PvD is a good producer, He was until recently.
POD 2 was crap, he's latest tunes sound like eurodance and pop and not trance.
I didn't like him from the begining so I can't tell much about him.
He's a good DJ though.
In conclusion, both are sellouts. both were legends.

Eh? They're anything but. You've chose the most mediocre tracks I can remember by either of them. Crush is just bland pap and For An Angel is PVD's most over-rated work. Flat and soulless piano trance. Meanwhile, Flight 643 is atonal noise and Adagio For Strings is a straight-up rape of a brilliant classical piece.
For me it has to be Paul Van Dyk on a purely production level, because I couldn't give a about DJs. Seven Ways is one of the best trance albums I've ever heard, and he's had some blinding remixes out, not to mention his collabs with BT. Tiesto has had undoubted moments of class, but nowhere near as often as PVD, and his attempts to cross-over as a legitimate album act were failures. |

PvD's productions suck.They all sound the same and they sound like they have been produced in 5 mins (except For an Angel) imo.
I loved Tiesto's older productions + sets
Unfortunately both started to think that Andy Moor is the next talent of trance blah blah blah... |

Well, back in the days some years ago I liked both of them.
But now I think it's ... both crap, hehe :P
I mean well, I still like PvD a bit ... but not very much. It's because of the old stuff like For An Angel I guess. DJ Tiesto I always connected with the uplifting e as I was into at the peak of my trance-loving years and which I can't stand today AT ALL anymore :stongue:
Thus my vote would go for PvD. Although it's a weak, weak vote. I'd kick them both in the arse if I'd see them. Tiesto a bit harder though, hehe! |
